What happens to his lords? Do they turn into statues, or return to their farms in the far south, never to take to the sword again, or, as I would like it most, become neutral again?

As F says, they just hang around, unsure as to what their purpose in life is.
I don't want to turn them neutral, as this could completely change the course of the game in an unfair way. Going back to their homelands is possible, but what if their home stronghold is held by another player now?
Maybe they should just disappear, melting away into the night, broken hearted at the fall of their leader...
