If you have Lords stationed at Towers, let them seek before you move any other characters.
Natmus pulled a swifty on me by dumping his Lords troops and ran.
Couldn't find him nearby with any of my armies, but my seeker did; by which stage I had unfortunately already moved anyone close enough to catch him.

That is also good tactics if you want to find out if your opponent was sloppy and didn't yet recruit all the lords behind his lines.
A suggestion for JY: add lord's allegiance to the guidance text. That would come handy in 4 player games.

Won't that remove the fog of war? eg, early on in game:
"Luxor the Moonprince (vassal of JeanYves) stands within the forest of Shadows"
This immediately tells you that JeanYves started in the west.
Maybe there is some compromise - when gold comes into play, I intended to have some object that could be bought that would give the holder more qualified info, eg
"Luxor stands on the Plains of Blood, heading E. He is loyal to JeanYves and is utterly Courageous"
Maybe different magical items could add to that, so that "Luxor... (as before). He commands an army of 2300 men"
Only lords with high courage could wield such magical items perhaps

In the early game one usually wouldn't have a spare lord to do it. But I agree, it might be a spoiler. If the lords stands at his inital place is indication enough that he might still be unrecruited. Or that he is a bait for a trap.

Ending armyless lord's turn facing the enemy should be avoided.

In Crosscountry, I put The Hand with 255 men in neutral Dreams, facing Natmus' 2500-men Xajorkith. He thought I had recruited Dreams and moved away ;D
