Perfect. Jean-Yves, can we do six? The code is not currently set up to cope with > 4 players, though in theory it could be amended fairly easily. Maybe in a future release, but at present you'll have to make do with just the four.

In a major battle, with lots of lords, distribute one lord's troops among others, then make him fetch fresh soldiers from the nearest citadel.

Here's another one that I rather like:
We all know that to hide the size of an army from afar we move them together and keep them grouped.
But how about the opposite...
Your spies report a large force of enemy troops heading your way. You can run, or you can perform a "Fan" (my term!). That is, fan out your troops so that each lord is on his own. This will give the impression of strength and *may dissuade* the enemy, at least short term. Of course, if the enemy is using scouts, as he should, your bluff will be called and you may end up a few lords fewer!
You also then have the option of a double bluff - the enemy thinks that you are making a fan, and in fact each army is at full strength and > 1 lord!

I use a different kind of bluff: to dissuade enemy from taking my citadels, I put a lord with only a few soldiers at a citadel, so that from afar it looks as if an army is there.

Actually, I was wandering whether army gfx should vary with army size <10 men No army gfx (not sure about this one yet!) <100 men Very small - 1 banner <500 half sized gfx Anything else full size. What do you think? PS. Someone else would have to do the gfx!

Top man Igor. Could I ask you one small extra favour (he says, pushing his luck)? Could you make the army gfx the same size, with the smaller armies centred and the background transparent. Also (really pushing my luck now!), any chance of creating the same for each of the army sizes (near 0 to distant 7)? Then I'll make you a knight of MU! PS. I'm not being lazy (honest), I'm busy implementing a bug fix!!!
