Also Diabolical have a nice one, but something is missing from it...
Peruns is great, but bit too dark on the edges.

I once red a book on heraldry. IIRC there are basically two metals (silver and gold = white and yellow), 5 colours (blue, green, red, black, and scarlet), and 2 weird patterns called furs. A metal symbol can only be put on color background and vice-versa, and furs can be combined with anything but furs.
Anything that doesn't hold to those rules is a mark of extraordinary excellence (Vatican, for example, was allowed a metal on metal).
So, Igor, the shield you use, and additional shields 2 and 3 are not heraldically correct (I'm taking 5 to be red on gold).
Are eagles missing their legs?
Brilliant stuff, otherwise.

It wasn't meant to be heraldically correct. If it was so, details wouldn't be visible (I tried it!). Only first shield is almost real. Others are meant to be descriptive about their owner.

In Marie's defence, I should say that I drew that shield for her, in under 5 minutes! Not the greatest, but then i did have quite a few to do!

It wasn't meant to be heraldically correct. If it was so, details wouldn't be visible (I tried it!). Only first shield is almost real. Others are meant to be descriptive about their owner. But the whole purpose of heraldic rules was to make shields recognisable from afar. (Initally, of course). And another rule is, the simpler the design, the more it is worth (it figures, the oldest families have the simplest, from the times when there weren't so many of them)
