Why do I get the feeling that I'm facing two Ringthanes bent on my destruction?

Why do I get the feeling that I'm facing two Ringthanes bent on my destruction? 'Cos you ate all the pies...

'Cos you ate all the pies... Dragon pies, I know, but have you ever tried to stop a horde of ravenous troops when they see a chance to get off field rations? If my officers had tried to interfere they might have become pie-meat themselves. Oh well, I hope Amelista was as quick to retreat as she was to advance. Poor old Brith may have survived a dragon but he couldn't beat a mob of ravaging Targ savages on his own. His shade will walk the halls of Shimetil for all eternity.

I suppose I was wrong about Amelista. She turned out to be plain suicidally loco!
Well. Fernendo? I make that at least 50% of your forces killed off to very little purpose indeed. If you were meant to soften me up for Merlin's horde to swarm over, I suggest your timing was just a little bit off. ;D

Will it make a difference if I claim that the voices made me do it?

Will it make a difference if I claim that the voices made me do it? If you stop eating the mushrooms you'll stop hearing the voices. I guess that's what all those people of yours were doing in the Forest of Thrall: looking for more mushrooms. Well, they found something alright, only it wasn't mushrooms. ;D I see Merlin is finally moving on to Shimeril - in typical Ringthane fashion if the report of the garrison commander is to be believed. About three of four days too late, but better late than never, eh?

Argh! I've been stung by a Targ wasp. One of my lords lost his horse. I'm doomed, I tell ya. Doomed!

So Ringthane has thrown down his weapons and run to the hills after sending his men to die tiring my trrops out. Typical Targ bravery, that!
That leaves you and me, wizard. Are you quick enough to take advantage of the Unbeliever's efforts, or will your troops end up wolf cub fodder like his did?
;D

Chris, are you sure Fernando is not leading your troops in this one? Your tactics seem to be the spitting image of his - with the inevitable consequence that the result is pretty similar too. I must admit I'm puzzled. Fernando said it was the voices, so what's your excuse?

I have no tactics... there were no tactics to play in this game. You have a large contingent of lords full to the brim with soldiers... I have very little... so I am being nothing more than annoying.

While that may be true now, I suspect you underestimated your earlier position. From my calculations, unless you took huge losses against Ringthane somewhere (which would suprise me, as he threw most of his armies my way), your position would have been quite competitive against me at the time of Ringthane's resignation. Certainly you managed to recruit enough lords to give me a very hard time indeed.
The difference is that despite Ringthane's attention around Thrall earlier, I managed to retain most of my men, and kept them in an organised and effective fighting force, whereas your men approached Dawn (one of only three citadels I own) in a very piecemeal fashion, invariably stopping just inside the range of my troops. That's cost you around half a dozen lords and their armies, and certainly put you on the back foot.
Had I been in your position I would have focused on consolidating at Shimeril with as many armies as you could gather there. Your advantage in citadels would have given you an advantage in the field over time (except of course that J-Y needs to remove all games for the new version).

Ringy and I only locked horns very very early on which was when his king became soldierless... but apart from that you lords and armies were far superior to mine. My only real choice would have been to sit it out up north and wait for you to come to me... staying south, you could easily have halved your army half to keep me at bay and the rest to take out my citadels... I just decided to play a little suicide. I must work more on my tactics...
