First off, even if their heart WAS in the right place, they still breached the security of the alliance. If DIGG heard about this then the whole Orc-runners thing would blow out of proportion before Pantheon started a war with them and we'd be crushed (unless we had a lot of help). It's not right. Secondly... I was a bit confused when you said that if we stay on the sidelines DIGG'll get bored because of lack of competition. The only way that'd work is if the top few alliances joined in. Us included. They'd be slightly weaker due to the war and would probably be paranoid about any new attempts to "overthrow" them. I see that working the opposite way. And I realise we need to have classified sections I just don't appreciate having links to it in the announcements section. Feels like I'm missing out on important (urgent would probably be a better word, of course it's important if it's classified!) information. As to war, I'd fight for Pantheon, if only for harbouring runners from Orc, though I have spoken to a couple of fairly nice guys in DIGG... Seems a bit of a shame.

I'd like to move for them to be expelled. Who cares if their hearts were in the right place, they still leaked information and cant be trusted... Sorry know you dont want it to be discussed on here, would just hate them to get a way with only a slap on the wrists
Edit:spelling

Might have being done without realising though. Talking with empire I've had to bite my tongue occassionally.
Least give whoever did it a chance to defend them selves.

The intelligence game is very complex.
Often times, I have given insights in order to gain intelligence. For instance, "Morkin is talking about what to do in the event of a Pantheon-DIGG war, what are you guys thinking?" Situations like that, you yield only broad non-specific tidbits. It is making a reference to something that everybody is talking about, and providing no details on how that talk is going.
Meanwhile, it opens the door to the other person; you may receive rather specific details on what another alliance intends to do in said situation. If you know a few people with loose lips, something broad and non-specific can buy you volumes of highly specific information.
However, I can't fathom a situation where relaying verbatim forum posts, or specific forum poll results, could possibly yield any benefit. You are simply becoming that "loose lips" person that people like me prey upon.
Unforgivable? Certainly not; we don't have enough information to determine that yet. But it is absolutely disappointing and rather troubling.

I'm almost 100% positive I can tell who leaked that info, without investigating logs and all that, but what does it matter that Pantheon knows that they would have our support? If anything at all it might mean that they would initiate the war earlier... The person who leaked this would no doubt help Pantheon no matter what I understand that people are upset about forum leakings, and I would never do it myself, but as long as it's not anything really important or critical that has been leaked, I'm not sure I would go to kicking the person from the alliance.

If its leaked once, and there is no reaction, whats stopping more leaks from appearing?

Nothing, but I think it depends on what's being leaked. I think Clause's approach is far better, but if this info leaked to Pantheon makes them strike, I think it's ok. The goal at the moment must be to focus the public attention on Pantheon vs. DIGG instead of Morkin vs. Orcs and DIGG.
The person leaking should be told that it's the not the way to do things though. There has to be some reaction. Otherwise critical things might be leaked.

OK, I don't believe hiding this is going to help and it is the right thing to do to let you all know who I think is behind this.
As soon as I get the OK from the other Morkin admins I will announce on here who we think it is and what the evidence is so you can all judge for yourselves. There are a few loose ends to tidy up before we can "go public" so please be patient.
