I agree 100% with Aeros. I have zero faith in Pantheon to win. We would merely be joining the side of the slaughtered. Dozens of us are completely surrounded by DIGG, and it would merely be an exercise in "how long can I hold my isles", rather than actually taking the fight to the enemy. We saw them fight ES-HF-Iliad-Phoenix-MX, and they came out without the fate of the war really ever being in question - DIGG was battered, but not never near broken. If Pantheon wins, DIGG is reduced and humbled, and Pantheon breaks up into various alliances. If DIGG wins, and we join Pantheon, we are annihilated along with them. If DIGG wins, and we stay neutral on the sidelines, DIGG it is far more likely DIGG will break up since they will never again find a challenge on this server. You are putting a lot of faith in the fact digg will break up if they dont have any competition. I also have 0 faith in pantheon beating digg without our help, and even then I believe the balance is in diggs favour, maybe 70-30. Lets face the fact though, the only chance we have of having balance on this server again is to join with pantheon. If we sit out and Digg win, even if they are badly hurt we will not become the super power that will remain digg. I'd prefer to go down in an epic war, then fizzle out slowly clauz, a game with no chance doesnt seem too much fun for me. I harbour no hate for Digg, I prefer there members to that of pantheons but I dont see how we can stand with them anymore, only against. As for if this war happens, I would prefer to see us join a little later act as a rear guard if you like. This way Digg are in motions to hit pantheon first and they are if you like the battering ram, though of course I leave such things up to the war master-minds

Here's my two cents.
I would fight with Pantheon, but only once the war got rolling. Meaning I don't think Morkin should be the tip of the spear here, let Pantheon act of their own volition. After a few days/a week of the war, throw our weight into the situation. It will give us a chance to assess the situation, make war plans on where the critical isle's are, and who needs to be hit.
It also allows for a 'shock-and-awe' effect when we enter. I believe strongly that if we can make a big enough splash, the whole thing will fall apart on it's own.
I base most of this off of the assumption (and I know it's an assumption) that an alliance the size of DIGG will be vulnerable to Psy-Ops. We provided a huge morale boost vs E|S, and I think we would have the same effect to the negative this time. Let Pantheon and DIGG slug it out, and hopefully Pantheon can put up a fight for a few days, if DIGG is starting to hit the grind, we can enter the fray to raise a little hell. The effect, tied with some well-timed and written messages could be enough to rattling DIGG's warmachine.
Without a doubt, it will be a fight that would be like a supernova over the candle that was the E|S war. But hey, it's a wargame.

Well I trust the administrators decisions, but if Clausewitz is right then I sure hope that we don't fight a war we can't win. I honestly don't see how DIGG can be defeated...

I agree with the people saying that Morkin shouldn't spearhead this operation, but as it seems at the moment that's the way we're going. I definitely think we should avoid that. The Orc affair could be a way to spark the flame, but that would draw the attention our way instead of focusing on Pantheon.
As asked in another thread about spying all DIGG isles, I've been through that, and alone spying is a major task...
Valheru would still be a force to reckon with if they're able to stay out of the war, but it doesn't seem like DIGG has any real allies in a possible war apart from perhaps the Orcs and maybe DUGG, and I see the latter as a part of DIGG. I'm hoping at least that we have stronger ties with our common allies.
If Morkin hadn't entered the last war other alliances would have stayed away from the fight, and MX could've hit DIGG instead of being destroyed. I was on vacation during the -Illiad- affair, but to me that move just seemed stupid. They should've joined when the fighting began instead of waiting, making them stand alone.

being ex-Pantheon its not really much of a suprise to you that i think we should help Pantheon as soon as we can, we could end Digg if we played it right Also once Digg where off the server, Pantheon would almost certainly split whereas Digg wouldnt reguardless off what they say!
#EDIT# @ RapSO - E||M & Pain will certainly fight for Digg wont they?

If war breaks out, all of IK world should join us to help Pantheon.

I'm not sure they would involve themselves in the fighting if the rest of the powerful alliances team together against DIGG. They might support DIGG though, and if they stay out of the fighting they would become a powerhouse after the war.

I was chatting with [Empire] and they will pick apart a couple of the Digg members but try not to get fully involved in operations. I would guess the same goes for their pact mates E||M and Pain? Thats just assumptions though.

I'm not sure I'd explicitly like Pantheon to win but I would certainly like to see Digg knocked down a notch or two (blame Phil). If that required the use of my own fleets then so be it - although since I don't actually have any strong feelings against Digg as a whole I wouldn't want to be part of the vanguard.

A little birdy in Pantheon tells me that members are already claiming we have pledged to support them.
DJ-Giftgas said that we are fighting with them and l3x-x posted OUR poll on their internals. It was later deleted but who is leaking information?
