As soon as Iliad started vulturing E|S islands I knew a war with them was inevitable. Just didn't think it would come this quickly!
Tis a tough one. We can't let E|S slip away now through this distraction, we need to keep up the assault and break them. At the same time, Aspen is a slimy lying Stronzo!, and RobKohr is a known cheat, so...
How about a public statement that we are continuing our primary focus on E|S but that we consider Iliad to be vultures and cheats and the attack on Digg to be dishonourable in the extreme, and we will be providing Digg with logistical support....but that launching fleets against Iliad has not been ruled out.
Once we've secured O11 and O12 from E|S we can turn our full attention on Aspen and Rob for a week.

We have already done extended amount of fighting, M|X, Phoenix, E|S, taking down some of the servers biggest players. And attacking is more wearing than defending. And now we should pick on 3 or more new enemies? Those all have their strong areas in O:1. Old strong isles. (See the Maps...) We should not abandon one target before its finished. It's a classical fuckup to leave the bad guys alive... E|S is our primary concern and if anything gets us stray from that path it is their mindchild and makes them smile. Capitalizing the situation in O:11 and O:12 is relatively cheap. It'll strengthen us in ways, and show clearly in the rankings. Also routing O11 and O12 is ever more significant if the conflict shows signs of expanding. After those we have relatively safe spot so with our backs secured by worlds edges. A lot better spot that E|S is sitting in O:3. Of course we still have punch but in the current situation i think we should use it a bit more conservatively from now on. Keeping us strong and frightening is the best thing now that we can do for ourselves and for our allies. I'm not saying we shouldn't kill Illiad or HF or Phoenix(again), im just saying we should finish our job with ES first and take our time planning and aiming. I agree!! To be honest, we have to deflate our ego a bit and think clearly. Yes, I know we are super awesome for taking care of MX and Phoenix. However, we should not underestimate any of our enemies and we should eliminate all our targets. In this case we should finish E|S before jumping into some other conflict and leaving E|S to rebuild. Do you not think that they will rebuild and come and kill us while we're too occupied fighting other targets? I do realize that we must help DIGG too since they are our closest ally, but perhaps this time we should let them take care of Iliad while we finish E|S. I suppose players in Morkin who are not seeing much action can help DIGG by sending them resources and such. But, again, we cannot let Iliad think we are weak and we must make our presence known. Words can be as harmful as an attack. Like someone said before me, I think a public statement should be created clearing up some rumours and mentioning that we are behind DIGG 100%. We should also include Iliad's incriminating evidence so other IK members can realize the lies Iliad are spreading.

We can't fight, but maybe we can keep H|F and Phoenix out of it. Trade our peace for theirs.
Heh. Something for nothing if it can be done.

Yes, its been a while and we have had time to think. We need to spell out our stance.
Points to consider when stating our stance.
- Morkin pushed digg to make a peace with Phoenix while they would have eaten them up. If Phoenix now attacks Digg it is very severe offence against Morkin too.
- In my opinion this will eventually end in the triads (illiad, phoenix, HF) defeat.
- We don't have the strength to fight them all and E|S.
- They cannot do very much against DIGG, locations differ too much.
- They make excellent targets for the future.

Iliad depends on their allies to move in or not. Will Agamemnon be able to convince Achilles, Ajax and Odysseus to fight for him? And if DIGG does have Helena...how beautiful is she really?

Not beautiful enough for the Great Ajax to go to war, Little Ajax still considers it.

I agree with those stating caution. One target at a time, and we need to keep our eyes on E|S. If DIGG needs to fight Iliad, let them do so. But our first, and only priority should be taking O3 and O11/12 isles from E|S and crippling them. To split that attention now would not be wise.
And this is coming from someone who has seen no action in this war, only acting as a supply chain.
I wonder if I'll ever get any cats back... hm!

DIGG has named the campaign "Operation: Hector's Revenge". It seemed fitting

That's cheating! With so many members, it's obvious you have a better chance of coming up with good names for operations!

I definitely underestimated DIGG fleets myself - for shame! I have census access to the entire database, too!
Aspen is down to 24 islands, with 7 currently cleared. He should be down to 20 for Server Update. Down to 1 within 48 hours from now.
We're adding another active target to the hitlist, since o14/15 have Aspen in the bag, and many DIGG-heavy oceans are without Robkohr targets. Regret seems to be nominating himself on the IK forums lately with his taunts, but plastictaxi, realdeal, and manteusus are also candidates.
Only about 5 Iliad players have actively attacked DIGGers, since Freddy-Super defected. We took him in, as a political move purely (denying him forum access). It led Aspen to believe their war plans had been spilled, so word is he's desperately redrawing them.

Was there not a rumour that someone in Iliad (Regret?) had 1000LW fleets? Has there been any evidence in the war so far of Iliad having any real military muscle, and/or the intelligence to use it properly?

According to meatpopsticle, about 12 Illiads have been active, no sign of Aspens Allies. Meatpopsticle:

since robkohr1 is a known scripter, would it go against our alliance peace treaty with iliad to attack him?

H|F are minded to stay out of it if we do the same. Pain said they would argue for making it a one-on-one (which Digg will easily win), and that's easier to do if we keep out. I guess that would also include Phoenix.
So my advice for the moment would be to honour the peace treaty, even though your fleets are itching.
Presumably you can mention it to Digg and they can reserve the isle for you for later 'use'
