With catapults you aim at a specific building and it prioritises that one for destruction. Examples; a). To raze a Level 20 building to Level 1 you will need 23 Cats b). To raze a Level 20 building to Level 10 you will need 20 Cats c). To raze a Level 17 building to Level 5 you will need 12 Cats d). To raze a Level 15 building to Level 1 you will need 9 Cats Last column shows the level remaining based on number of cats used. This calculation is using the method below described by Arminius assuming the building is level 20 when you attack. It does not show collateral damage - Warliter

Catapults do damage before they die, at least if you "win" the skirmish.

Does anyone have a grid that shows the damage level done by catapults against building levels. Above shows how many you need to destroy a building to levle 1, but what about if you don't have enough to level to 1, for example how much damage would 6 cats do against a level 20 SW?

for example how much damage would 6 cats do against a level 20 SW? Easy: take the required amount off: 6 - 3.83 (level 20 -> level 19) -------- 2.17
Those 2.17 are then applied elsewhere as they're not enough to take a level 19 building down to level 18, but they can take down another building from 16 to 15, leaving 0.33 which can take another level of a lower building. At least that's how I think it works.

Regarding my additional column, this theory is untested, although I believe it may well be close, if anyone has any instances where they launch attacks at a target with less than the required cats, can they check and post here.
I know its not something you aim to do, but if you have limited cats on different isles then it may be relevant
