Wait...I won't be too eager this time because chances are we won't go to war since its never "the right time" Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, we need to canvass some opinions. The way Pantheon worded things, we can probably let them start the war and just attack whoever comes in to help Digg, without actually targetting Digg themselves.

I agree no pact with Pantheon,
My reason for this is based on what I have been reading in the public forum. If we were to pact with PANTHEON now I think a large part of the server would see this as a planned move, it would draw the battle lines and give them(DIGG and allies!!) the chance to prepare for a strike from pantheon and Morkin.
It woould also make us look dishonest as we have stated in our dropping the pact message that we don't intend on war with them.
If we stay on the sidelines and sweet talk Pantheon into taking on DIGG with out us I think Pantheon would garner far more support server wide from other alliances that have minor grievances with DIGG.
We can then keep people of PANTHEON's back like suggested
Just my thoughts anyway

Unless the Pantheon leadership have some secret plans, it doesn't look good for them judging from their 'bleeding':

I've had two Pantheon members asking about joining Luxor, I've told them to apply to KoM.
There's a lot of discontent in there.

100% a blunder of leadership.
What did Dasneal think? That the Triad joined because they wanted to be peaceful?
He pursued "talks", even when DIGG went into isolationism, meanwhile his membership had joined together for blood.
Single best opportunity for somebody to face DIGG on even-footing, and the botched it miserably. DIGG wins.
*sigh*

Maybe it will turn around if we publically criticise DIGG and perhaps even remove the peace treaty we have with them?

@ Clause, they're waiting for a proper leader (looks at us) lol Cman put it nicely. They're sheep waiting. Recent and past events mentioned in this section of the forum are enough evidence to drop our peace treaty with DIGG. We can post such evidence on the forum so people will see that DIGG is a mess. Many people just want to take a stab at DIGG just because. I bet if we approach pantheon we could coordinate something with them. Only if they agree to break up once the possible war is over. And, we can take it one step further. Any other alliance that wants to take DIGG is encouraged to do so, but they have to mail US to coordinate attacks. But heh, we could just let this pass and let DIGG grow.

Why drop a PT with DIGG?
It doesn't prevent attacks against them like a PACT does, and yet it prevents attacks against us from DIGG.
We can all quietly cheer for DIGG to be humbled a bit, but if we cast our lot with Pantheon, I have very little faith we'll be on this server for long. Pantheon is a dead horse - not one I'm willing to bet on.

Pantheon is a dead horse - not one I'm willing to bet on. If you want a job done properly, you have to do it yourself... I've no faith in Pantheon's ability to actually wage an effective war either. The only feasible way to take down Digg would be for Morkin to lead the war with Pantheon as support. It's all they're good for. *shrugs* If Pantheon do declare war, I'd expect a wave of inept badly-coordinated attacks followed by a load of internal dissent, Pantheon collapsing within a week in disarray, and Digg left supreme with nobody ever willing to challenge them ever again. Is that outcome really in our interests?

If pantheon go to war with DIGG and we do nothing...this isn't a 'threat' but I'll be leaving Luxor and joining Patheon to help them with my meager noob skills. I haven't told this to anyone, but I'm planning on leaving IK and this is probably a way to go out. I refuse to sell my account and I'd enjoy raping them with my ships. My reason for quitting: Rather personal but, I've recently found out that one of my close friends has cancer. Only 19 years old.No..its not RinoKiller...and here I am wasting my life playing IK games. Maybe I'm totally emo right now...but maybe I should do something better with my life. (this is the time were you guys tell me to shut up heheheh). Perhaps I am acting irrational. If I am say so...lol cos yeah. If you guys strongly object, then perhaps I'd rather donate my account to the AMC, but I personally would like to use that 1k fleet i've been saving. Because...I am a warmonger after all.

Tell you what, at the end of this week we all deleted our accounts and leave the server to Digg. There are only dead horses we can't bet on, we can't be bothered to lead, so we are already neutralized. There's no point in continueing something which yields no tangible results. Right ?
So, sorry to hear about your friend. Justice is one of the dreams of men, it does not concern the birds, nor the socalled eternal god.

I'm just in an emo mood. Sorry for bringing my womanly feelings in a game of war. But yes....I share Ashimar's feelings here. I'm getting restless. I cant help it. I do understand that this is a peaceful alliance. So...egh... I'll humbly retire to my mad corner and let my emoness pass so I wont do something stupid I'll regret later.

It seems to be coming down to that alright. We either lead one last war or leave quietly. Nothing else is going to change for the forseeable future. For some reason I'm channeling Delenn right now: You stand for nothing but your own petty interests. `The problems of others are not our concern.' I do not blame you for standing silent in your shame, you who knew what was coming, but refused to take up the burden of this war. If the Elder Gods will not fight, then the rest of us will! If the Morkin Alliance has lost it's way, if it will not lead, if we have abandoned our covenant with Valen... then the Alliance should be broken! As was prophesied. We must stand with the others, now, before it's too late. Between Corleth and the Luxor we control two-thirds of our forces. And to you I say: Listen to the voice of your conscience. Break the council, come with me, our time of isolation is over. We move now, together, or not at all! ;D There's always an appropriate Babylon 5 quote for any situation
