There are thoughts circulating at the moment, that if Pantheon really wanted to take a legitimate stab at Digg, they would hit the Morkin Triumverate first. The idea being, their strongest pact mates (us) would take a beating during the 30 day cease fire period that would occur IF and only IF Pantheon/Digg canceled their pacts.
Under this assumption, Pantheon would have a 30 day free for all attacking the Morkin group while Digg could technically do nothing but stand by and wait until the 30 day ceasefire ended.
However of course, there is a vast majority speaking out on the fact that if Pantheon ships landed on Morkin shores at ANYTIME, Digg ships would immediately hit Pantheon's regardless of any ceasefire that was agreed on prior.
Granted this is purely speculation, I felt it may be relevant currently.

While these might just be "thoughts," perhaps Morkin should get prepared for a possible conflict?

I wouldn't necessarily believe there is any immediate threat... from what I understand Dionysus(whether he's truthful or not) has been communicating constantly with Digg admins assuring them that he is attempting to quell any anti-digg sentiments amongst his newly grown alliance. I believe the theme of his talks is "digg is a huge monster war machine... but so are we now.. so do we really have any business bashing another group who in most aspects is just like us" Given this I feel fairly comfortable in O31, literally surrounded by Pantheons. I don't think there is any immediate problem but to be quite honest.. I'm not sure the 3 Pantheon admins quite knew what they were getting into when they did this huge merge.. as a former Digg admin, I can attest to the fact that running such a huge alliance is INCREDIBLY demanding. Given that fact, I'd say there are two plausible scenarios: 1.) Pantheon realizes after a month or so that managing a large alliance of players who have actually warred with each other before is simply too difficult and they disband. 2.) Pantheon rallies quickly and takes early strikes. They seem reasonably intent on honouring the 30 day cease fire if the pact with Digg dissolves so that would make us the next reasonable target. For whatever reason, my gut instinct tells me this won't happen but I've been wrong once or twice in my life

Oh yes, and to supplement this... a little note from Dionysus himself to his new alliance...
Quote from: Dionysus I agree. We all have some sort of axe to grind over the past in this game with somebody or another (or you haven't been playing long enough). The most important things to remember is:
1. This is a fresh start, we are a new team. 2. We have no agenda for war, we are all peaceful alliances, and we didn't all come together to go start something. If anything, it'll come to us. 3. We must learn to work together as a new team, and get our infrastructure built, working and make sure we can attack as a single unit. So, I know a bunch of us have fought each other in other wars in the past, we just have to treat today as a new day and Pantheon as a new opportunity to make an awesome fighting force on the server. We can definitely get more done as a well disciplined bunch, and it'll show the first time we wind up in a bloody war.

It could start as massive stonie drops that could be used to inflict massive losses on Pantheon attacking fleets. That would be more useful in what would be largely an old ocean war. Of course we are speculating that Pantheon have half a brain between them which has yet to be proved. The more intelligent in Pantheon are also the cooler heads with history of fighting alongside Digg/Morkin. It is possibly more likely Pantheon will shed the Triad before the ex-VALOR/mod_axis players went to war against Morkin.

But...perhaps they are bored (or will get desperate in a few weeks) and will do the unthinkable just to keep the measses happy and their noses pointing the same direction. Greed, stupidity and boredom are powerful instigators. Is that the word ? Instigators ?!

I wonder if info about us gets leaked...
Seeing as these alliances are multiplying, shouldn't we be a little bit more concerned about recruiting more people to KoM?

While this is a good point, factors are simply against Pantheon. 3 admins. 1 admin is pro-digg 1 admin doesnt care 1 admin is anti-digg With a leadership this divided, how can they possibly unite their 400+ members to achieve a majority vote on anything? I just see them doomed to split. Time will tell

Let's face it, our main weakness is that we are at the core a distrustful bunch when it comes down to taking in large quantities of players. How long did it take the original Morkin to feel even remotely at ease with FoM and Corleth additions ? And since we like intensity in what we do, that is almost at odds with expanding our membership count. So while all these mergers take place we will remain as we are: quality but lacking quantity. To go back to the idea I (somewhere, I forget where I post things...) coined of seasons of the IK server, we are entering autumn and winter will come. I am enjoying the last of the summerwine.

I just see them doomed to split. Time will tell The pro-Digg admin (Okeanos) has seniority, and the deciding vote. I think the main thing for the Triad is breathing space for now. Medium to long term they are screwed as 30 days is ample time to bring all the 'Digg Effect' islands up-to-speed.

lol I guess I should be happy that I even have access to this area of the forum. Only the Morkin gods know the depth of this. Anyway, if we're not going to add any more members, we should probably start making more friends. We're an odd bunch...including Ashimar with his slight obsession with wine.

Slight obsession ?! You should see me in the supermarket with a trolley when there's a winefestival going on. ;D You did see that picture of Andre and me, didn't you ? We had just decided that of 6 bottles of wine to be selected for dinner in Italy we at least each got one red one over which we would have sole deciding rights. He choose a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and I choose a Taurasi ! It would have been a bloodbath otherwise.

Some more tid bits... all very contradictory information.
Quote POWER 3 hours ago RE: RE: looks like We are receiving mails contrary to your statement.
I don't have the specifics some of our ranked members have close ties with Pantheon. They are reporting that the merge was a move in line with action against Digg.
All Pantheon alliance members have been directed to stop expanding and are focusing on military builds for war.
Please keep in mind this is second hand information and I am just passing it on the bits that I have seen.

this is actually good. pantheon has made it clear to the triad that they will not move against us. triad, by merging with pantheon, can not attack digg without pissing off the original pantheon members and leaders. the bad thing is, the pro-digg pantheon staff lose influence.
it is unlikely that pantheon join unknown's side to fight digg. should that happen, morkin will join digg's side.
