I dont know...I think splitting up again would be good. It keeps everyone guessing, and calculating...not that I have anything against having all in the same place. Yes, but then if we gathered our strength again into one allinace, everyone would know what was coming... Unless it was a bluff, or a bargaining tool

I don't see a problem with them knowing what's coming, it says that we are prepared and ready to kick Culo!.

I would like to split back up again.
I loved the putting on of the war paint. If it was enough to make me think "holy Merda!" then it must have had an impact on the other alliances.
It also demonstrates how organised and effective we can be as a "one" even when we were split up.

Geert of Digg indeed saved the FoM tag for us and informed me about it. I also have the login to Fommer as a matter of fact. Buried under loads of messages though...
I must say I have no objection to being in one huge alliance with everyone here. Every group has it's own objectives ofcourse, but now that we all more or less know or suspecvt what it is each group does, I can't see a problem in it to have everyone into one huge alliance.
It has other advantages as well. Come on, I am sure you can see those even without me mentioning them here.
However, if we do return to our own castles and keeps, as proposed by some, then - even though we got the FoM tag if needed- I plead for a more harmonious name like Luxor or Fawkrin or something. I too always thought FoM wasn't quite it compared to Corleth and Morkin. I don't like abbreviations, it has no good ring to it.

Perhaps we should stay as one, and de-merge at the next war into multiple alliances or as discussed previously in another thread.
We have co-ordinated through this forum mainly and all the planning is held here anyway.
I think if we de-merge it should be Luxor we use as he is similar in status to Morkin & Corleth

I think we should stay together for the duration of this war. The main reason that I was in favour of this merger was that a large group is harder to analyse, and if we had remained 3 separate groups it would have been possible for our enemies to decide on concentrating their attacks on just one group. This way, even if we are simply in one group instead of 3, dividing us up is made that much harder.

I'm for the split, but after the war. So what if our enemies know what is coming? I think the impact of any future merger will frighten the b'jesus out of them after what we have done so far.
How about putting it to the vote?

I'm uncomfortable with Morkin ranked second....;D Hell after the war we decide it of course.

Yes, I think we should split up again.
And it's right, re-merging will send a signal to everybody that something is in the air. "Oh sh*t, Morkin have merged again! What's going on?"

I think we gained against E|S. Soon we'll be second even without the Diggers...

Thats what I was going for. Brings about a presence. Anyone gearing up to attack us we could merge and let them know we found out they coming kinda thing. How a king cobra poises it self as a warning.

While I'm merely a guest here, I'd like to mention that the "assembly" was an awesome thing to behold, especially when the cojoined forces made such quick work of MX. That chapter in the ik.com history is the stuff legends are made of. And for many reasons, the no-new members policy of Morkin and the invitation-only status of Corleth....that exclusivity enhances the mythos greatly, while the ability of people to attain membership to FoM enhances both your power base as well as giving others a chance to come have fun at your party. Even I pondered applying for temporary membership to the cojoined Morkin, similar to my temporary joining of Digg. Why? Unlike my temporary switch to Digg, there would be no strategic or tactical reason to do so.....I simply wanted to send out an attack or two with my ships flying the legendary Morkin flag, for no other reason than my perception of the coolness of doing so. Okay, maybe the idea of sending out a bunch of suicide fleets in the hopes of getting an invite to Corleth. lol In the end, I'd suggest breaking back to the consitiuent parts after this is over. The lower scores help keep you off the radar and cause potential enemies to possibly make grave errors when estimating your total power by underestimating both your participation %'s as well as your ability to quickly get everyone in the three alliances all coordinated. It also, as noted a few times in the thread, can be used as a telegraph to send a "holy Merda!!" message to the community. Imagine the scenario that started the current war. AllianceA steals a bunch of isles and then refused to pay reparations. In the future, AllianceA, if they did that to any of your groups, it is quite likely that the simple act of assembling would convince your enemy to stand down. Or heck, when things get boring, assemble occasionally just to watch the official forum light up with people freaking out because they don't know what's going on. I'd even go back to using the FoM name. Morkin and Corleth are exclusive clubs. It helps with the legendary mythos to be so. It seems proper that the naming gives a nod to the difference. Morkin is closed, Corleth is invite only. Most players can't even aspire to be part of that legend...the closest you can come is to apply to FoM and hope that you're deemed worthy of being NEAR the mythos. Anyway, this is just an outside observer's perspective. Do what thy wilt shall be the whole of the law.
