with the application of Mcgoogus, I noticed that [E||M] has FoM listed as a peace treaty. We do not show that treaty. Both Morkin and Corleth have a treaty with them but I don't remember anything about it being brought up on the boards. We need to either get in line with Morkin and Corleth or tell [E||M] to remove the peace treaty.
regardless we should ask that they inform us when they put something like this in place.

I've brought this up loads of times with other alliances being added as peace treaties or even pacts and no-one telling us. a couple of times it wasnt even a FoM player who added them to our alliance treaties page.
I know the feeling inside FoM is that peace treaties in general are a waste of time, as a non aggressive alliance they are of no use to us, so why do we have them at all ?

They don't do us any direct harm, but they are still a problem because they limit our military options if one of the alliances is involved in any sort of conflict. For example: if VALOR decide to attack a noob alliance for colonies and the noob alliace appealed to us for help, we would not be able to provide it. Because, after all, there's no clause in our treaty with VALOR that says they can't take aggressive action against anyone.

The worst part is that most of the treaties seem to have come about because someone in Morkin was once on good terms with someone who used to be a diplomat in one of these alliances for a while. So our military policy ends up being determined by our cordial relations with someone who has long since abandoned the game. We only terminated our treaty with 'Luna Wolves' once someone had proved that every one of their members was a multi account of Jackogrounds (remember him?)

On the alliance in question — if I understand correctly they are part of a group controlled by b0rn2ki112k, one of the most notorious imbeciles in the history of Inselkampf. While thats a very tempting offer i dont think i could just wipe them off, personally i'd like to see them gone as well but we'd need to have a vote on it so everyone gets a chance to have their say, then if we decided to lose them we'd have to contact the alliances involved and tell them in advance and explain why we're changing our policy.
Sounds like a lot of work, ( for the diplomats anyway )

Edit 2: It may be worth mailing some of the stronger alliances that while we have taken them off the list we still consider them friends and would wish no ill health.
