I am very impressed. I also think you have gathered quite a respectable and capable group of people. It's - by the way - unfair to compare MX and FoM. First, I like FoM  Second, you have 33 members, they have 77. Yes, yes, points do not mean everything, but still... points does, to some degree, mean islands, islands mean resources, resources mean production, production means weapons. |

We've overtaken MX now as expected. I agree pretty much with Patton — high average score is good, but loyalty is the most valuable thing. For example, recruiting TheKing would probably have been pretty easy and done our score the world of good, but he wouldn't have been the slightest bit of use if any of us actually needed help.

A quick tally of points reveals that the triumvirate would place 3rd on the alliance list, 2nd going to ES/HF, 1st obviously going to DIGG.

I can see the triumvirate taking the #1 ranking eventually, and it wouldn't mean much to me as long as it doesn't come at the expense of our principles.
When I consider the principles we try to follow, and how well we do in following them, I think we have something far better than points.
The points will never tell more than a tiny fraction of the story.

Agreed, points don't tell the whole story. I'd love to see what kind of armies Corleth have hiding away in case of all hell breaking loose.

Well expect to see me doing some big-time colo-whoring soon. I've been incubating some big fleets on my top ten isles, and spear-whoring pretty much everywhere else, so I'm confident that I'll be able to handle any trouble that comes my way. That Dr_eam thing gave me a big scare, but I've made sure all my isles have a defence that'll make anyone think twice about attacking them. But now that all that is in place, I'm gonna be all colo-ships till I hit 32.  I've already got two coming up, so expect FoM to move up the points chart a bit soon. Mwhahahaha! |
