I agree that shen has produced the very backbone of our alliance. I understand the elements at work that 'force' us to consider war. I only object to a rash decision by admins that I did not know controled the alliances in these sort of situations. I may have been a bit harsh but I sincerely thought that we were an alliance that sought peace first and did not do anything pre-emptive. I did not know that Morkin allowed itself to declare an open war without provocation. That being said, I will not leave Morkin and will commit all my fleets to the effort. I just don't like being in the dark. As an admin, myself, I did not know where this morkin decision came from which means that the representitves are all morkin and not at all luxor. Maybe it is 2kcastle that is in this group, in which case I am talking out of my Culo!. So in the end I speak from a position of ignorance and should probably shut up.

I just wanted to make sure we all kept everything in perspective - the perspective that none of us are criminal and we're all doing our best in a stressful situation - before things went too far down a divisive, destructive path.

I think you all need to decide whether you are happy with DIGG being in a position to Pull rank on us, because once Pantheon are gone thats what is going to happen. They know we have been assisting Pantheon so we are probably definately next on the target list. We have a window of opportunity where we can join and reinvigorate Pantheon as said several times this window is waning, but once closed we will stand alone against the full force of DIGG when they come and they will come. The arrogance comes out in every post on the IK forums, especially the ones where Pantheon brings up a request to split. I couldn't put it any better. I'm with Morkin. Also, I don't believe that all this fighting and bickering is good for us. It's dangerous.

As long as we can forget all differences once a decision has been reached that we're happy with. And also, things should not get personal. Everyone of us, whether Morkin, Luxor, KoM, or Lorgrim, is entitled to voicing their opinion.

I think also we all need to realise that this is not fighting and bickering, that comes out as personal attacks/namecalling. we have not been doing this at all. what we have is a lively debate, each member has a voice, the number of islands associated to that voice in no way makes that voice stronger or weaker. The right to have your opinion and have it heard is controlled by whether or not you post and I will be one of the first to step in should this become anything more than a lively debate. Don't forget we are on the same side (divided we fall, united we stand - I know, I know the second time I've trotted this quote out in a week, but if the cap fits...)

Good stuff. So long nobody feels they're being attacked, undermined, or second-guessed, it's all good and healthy. Maybe I was a bit pre-emptive in casting the debate into this light, but better pointing out the obvious (we're all on the same team, doing our best) too early rather than too late

Movement on the diplomatic front. It seems Pantheon might be prepared to agree to a ceasefire giving Digg 2 days to discuss restructuring.
I would be happy to concede that Digg won't split at all if they rejected that opportunity. And I'd be pretty sure that after this we would have a much clearer vote on our war-poll.

Digg show no effort in the matter then I happilly retract my no vote.
Least now I know something more has being done diplomatically on our part.

Sounds great! Is Pantheon saying they'll give Digg 2 days to actually split up, or decide if they will one way or another? heh, 2 days to split would be interesting to watch
