Per Shen's request, I'd like to get the ball rolling in the right direction on this one, so I can complete it over this coming weekend.
OBJECTIVE To create 3-4 "hubs" for stoners/cat transportation per ocean.
PURPOSE Having 3-4 "hubs" per ocean capable of sending/receiving volumes of war materials will give us a quick-list of said resource drop points for inter and intra-alliance combat operations.
For instance, in Operation Sunrise, we saw significant volumes of stonethrowers moved around, but did not always have the most secure drop-points (point in case: 5k stoners going to PeterP in o3, originally destined for a Morkin isle).
CRITERIA These islands must be virtually immune to fleetsteals, and/or falling into enemy hands. As such, their capabilities must not only be high, but committed to the purpose of rallying materiels, rather than attacking.
As such, the following is the proposed criteria. I welcome any/all input:
5,000 spears, or equivalent defense, for fixed garrison duties. 750 LWS, or equivalent capacity, for transportation duties. 7500 stonethrowers on standby for rapid deployment. 150 cats on standby for rapid deployment.
In theory, these islands could transport 3,750 stonethrowes and/or 150 cats in a single shot, anywhere on the map. Distance should not be a factor, as they will have such a fearsome garrison that no opponent would waste the resources required to knock them out.
Obviously, all oceans will not have islands that meet the requirements - it is likely that o1-2-3-6-11-12-13-14-33-34 will be the primary locations, since that is the primary Morkin presence.
Again, I welcome any/all suggestions to the criteria, so I can know what I'm looking for when I start searching for islands that meet the criteria, and asking the individuals to volunteer said islands for this purpose.

Sounds good, I can volunteer:
I've two other O1 islands with similar stats so I can ship more stoners or cats if needs be, but I only want to volunteer 1 of my islands as I think it fair that others share the fun!

Some o14 examples... Ideally, I'll be able to find 3-4 per ocean where we have a strong presence, dispositioned around the ocean in such a way that every isle in the ocean is within 5 hours, maximum, of a hub... Of course, there will have to be a degree of "security" for the final list - we wouldn't want to tip our hand in the KoM forums about where our resource-relay lynchpins are located

Hmmm...I have a couple of really strong isles, but most of my isles on O13 look like:
Army Stone Throwers (1010) Spearfighters (4545)
Ships Large Warships (479) Large Merchant Ships (15) Small Warships (8) Small Merchant Ships (20)
I don't suppose thats good enough.

If it's the best we have in o13, and you aren't relying on it to launch attacks from, it could be viable. Though I suspect I'll find Natmus has a few in o13 that may qualify as well

My strongest isles I would say are in 014, and they have about Army Stone Throwers (2512) Spearfighters (5516) Archers (261) Catapults (72) Ships Large Warships (952) Large Merchant Ships (6) Small Warships (13) Small Merchant Ships (20) Colonization Ships (2) But you see, those have colo ships, which means I intend to use them. And you already have isles stronger than that in 014

Though I suspect I'll find Natmus has a few in o13 that may qualify as well I have 2 isles in the 13:90 sector that can be used. Not the most central point in that ocean, but they are nicely secure: and In a similar way, I have isles like that in the 22:9 and 24:17 sectors, not to mention a load of possible O1 isles, and a few scattered O12 isles that meet the criteria.

I have plenty in o12. In the E|S war I lost one temporarily, but that was a more recent one.

I have similar to Arminius in 012, from my spying on rapso during the war, I'd say he probably has even more defense then the two of us

Don't know if you know but with "Worldmap png" you can pick whomever to a map with any color you fancy. This is all our alliances (Hawk) excluded as dark red: Map

Me and eproxy are the strong hold for O5. All my other isles in O33 aren't well enough built up yet.

If we have a few volunteers, it may save me some trouble of having to hunt down individuals this weekend And please keep in mind, that the purpose of designated isles is to be primarily a resource relay/depository. Please do not deplete the isle's necessary defenses/fleets, as they may be required on short-order. However, if you exceed the criteria, excess fleets/defenses could certainly be used in offensive operations (i.e., if you have 1100 LWS on the isle, roughly 400 could be used for offense, while still maintaining the RDI standards). Finally, these criteria are still open to discussion, and may fluctuate from ocean to ocean (obviously isles in o51 would require lesser fortifications and capabilities than isles in o1).

You can use the 'Isle distances and garrisons'-tool to spot good locations.
For example the right top corner of O:1 would be 1:10:5 and the fleets to that target list all our isles in distance order. I can tweak the DB to show you other fleet details than your own too. (admins see all there is on this tool)

I've got islands in NW o32, and E o34. Both well defended. The o34 could be better.
