The way I see it is that the pact at this current point is superfluous. Two players do not need the protection of Morkin. That could be our official reason, but it also has the benefit of making them hurry a bit faster. Give the ball a chance to get rolloing... like phil299 says he is having a tough time playing this, mainly to his own alliance, so that it doesn't look like this will be them 'losing' the war. I get what your saying but it might be a good idea to start exerting some authority on the matter and making it known that even though we endorse this, we still mean business.

Question, just my curiosity, suppose DIGG split into 5-7 alliances, what would Morkin say if all these 5-7 alliances had a pact with each other so that in reality those 5-7 alliances were really still "DIGG" but disguised with another tag to satisfy the servers political needs?
Sort of like saying that DIGG structured like Morkin (different alliances, but one big family either way) that shared the same forum, policies, etc? Is this what Morkin is going for?

Pantheon stated that each Digg split-off should not have more than one pact with another one. But I guess that for a transition period they will have pacts which should then be removed after a while.

If Digg go back on their word in the the mid-to-very distant future on this, then Pantheon will just reform- and they'll have us and prolly several other alliances to contend with too. All bets will be off. Anhway, while time does suit Digg but it also suits us. Swings and roundabouts and all that.

Pantheon seem to be seriously willing to bring this war to an end and split once they are convinced that Digg will split as well. And they're happy to make it clear that it is not a surrender by Digg. I hope that'll make things easier!

From Pantheon ingame forums, it looks like PAIN is also attacking Pantheon. It may be isolated attacks...who knows. But if DIGG is serious about splitting, then I don't understand why PAIN is attacking. But then again, I don't know many things.
Just thought I'd inform you guys about that, it just popped up today.

Oops, I posted the following on the other thread (post now deleted. I got confused with the polls).
Concerning PAIN current attacks towards pantheon:
From what I have read Pantheon has already lost an isle to PAIN. If this is true...then I fail to see DIGG splitting.

Just some quick thoughts: 1. Nobody can expect a rapid break-up into significantly different alliances. Any initial movement will be a "change in-game only" for appearances. The hope has to be that, over time, very real rifts will emerge. If they factions into alliances with different mentalities, for instance, they will not have identical pacts, and may get into fights for reasons that others do not want to join in. Basically, the substantive break-up would occur over time. 2. That is all. Back to beer for recovery from a hell of a week. But I love bullet-points

Thats discouraging! Why is DIGG calling in its pact mates when its winning and and making the move to split. It seems like they may be trying to protect its most inured players while carrying on the war.

We should have a talk with them making it very clear that we don't like this...

I contacted both PAIN and Valheru and asked them to hold fire in the interest of getting this sorted.

Just declare war on [Pain], but not [Digg]. [Digg's] hardly going to be able to come to their aid are they? Knock a few isles out, and [Pain] will want peace!
