I thought this may be of some interest to some of you.
It may be that Arminius' pressure has worked somewhat. I am still unsure what its all about, but:
Pantheon has a new peace treaty with [NAPS]...which happens to be made of Members Player Score Status Meatpopsicle 15618 Administrator merbear 12123 Member
Additionally, Pantheon seems to have created this peace treaty to sort out whats happening since they appear to be confused as well.

That's right. I think that they recently have become so arrogant, and so condescending towards us, that I consider them scum that were nice towards us when they had use for us, but now they don't need us and consequently treat us as dirt. I can't stand that kind of people, and strongly resent them these days. Any alliance is just a collection of players- no doubt the foolish and arrogant soon-to-be-ex-Diggers will give us just cause in the future. Look at Rahein. We should forgive, but not forget...

I dont think its a good for us to profile too tightly with the splinters. I understand the pacts needed to be in the talks when negotiating, but they should be dropped as soon as decently possible.

Naps is more than a day old and all it has done is protected DIGG's most beat up admin and member without pulling splitting off any other members at all.

I believe I voted "abstain", for obvious reasons.
My understanding has always been that we treat a Pact with the utmost regard, and it is reserved for our closest friends. Those we would be willing to die for without any questions asked.
This seems highly "political". And rather murky given we do not know if the splinters are actually meaningful, or just an in-game appearance. I always considered us one of the few and proud who do not use treaties for political purposes, but rather something more noble.
Over time it may come to pass that some of the splinters are genuinely good friends, and in which case, a Pact would be justified - it could even further the division between them if we were to Pact some and not others, if we were to look at it purely politically.
But a blanket Pact with every HOR-mentality splinter alliance? That doesn't seem in keeping with our honor.

Still only 2 members, I suggest we drop the pact until there are 30 members in the alliance and we are sure that it's not for just protecting battered players.

guys, we are talking about ONE day so far....lets give them a little more time than that before dropping pacts ect. which will just inflame the already tense situation.
Yes, we should have seen MORE movement so far than just those two, but no need to do anything rash just yet. At least give them 2-3days to see where its at.

The way I see it is that the pact at this current point is superfluous. Two players do not need the protection of Morkin.
That could be our official reason, but it also has the benefit of making them hurry a bit faster.

Give the ball a chance to get rolloing... like phil299 says he is having a tough time playing this, mainly to his own alliance, so that it doesn't look like this will be them 'losing' the war.
