My suggestion to include soldiers to caravans got me thinking about what function is left for the scared lords. A duelling arena (or call it something more in the spirit of Midnight) somewhere in the centre of the map could solve that: only armyless lords could enter it, and by killing enemies, who came there for the same purpuse, would gain courage. Note: soldiers in caravans is not a prerequisite for this.

Maybe every lord present could be made an enemy, so sending 2 of your own lords to arena would result in courage for one and death for another (unless they both die).
Dragons and Wise should be banned from it, but not the skulkrin, even if they can not gain courage (but can kill enemies).

Sarlacc's Pit? ;D Hm, maybe some already introduced place, a 1sq-only location, like, Bloodhenge, where every single combat victory might have some random effect - up courage 1, turn lord into wise ...

I am working on it. Her name is Susana (hey Roope, whadda ya know, I'm getting myself a Susana too!) and all we need is some time on our hands ;D But I still like the idea, hey, there could be angry mobs and roving troll warbands come to watch the games at Bloodhenge and throw pieces of eight and howl and cheer, and then rose petals coming from above as if thrown from black helicopters and

In fact I think that I may have found something in myself which has been on the to-acknowledge status for the past 33 years, and which is, I "work" better when I'm in love. All it really takes is some slack from the hardships of life.

Well, I've been in love most of my life, either for women or for life itself ;D But that recent "most serious" breakup had left my stores expended, I reckon, so faith and availability to connect were at an all time low as of late. Luck found a way, though
