Referring the HOR incident (in the luxor news thread)
Whats done is done and the bottomline is that we have lost three great players due this.
Clausewitz has set for deletion while Aesir and Sol will fight on but with definite intention of going out of the game too.
Taking into account that Ashimar was beaten by the Orcs makes me wonder why is it always the best players that pay the price first?
I almost wrote to Digg, but i don't know what to say.

That is a very big loss. Not only in isles and fleets, but also in player quality. What's our next move? Just continue the war against the ORCs?
I'm a little sad they didn't discuss it with us first, perhaps we would have supported them. I would.

It is a sad day when morkinlethor players feel they need to split off to get a point accross....
I feel sure that with discussion we could achieve a much better result, than simply suiciding....
I see other alliances just needing somone to follow into DIGG waters, if clause et al are going out why not bring them back into the fold (if not too late) and have their actions signal the beginning of WW2?
We have been rumbling about fighting DIGG for weeks, im "all in" if need be.

Talk to DIGG and Pantheon...patch up as best as possible....but I'm not going to dedicate more time. So someone else either pick it up, or its over.

Clause played extremely intensive, staying up all nights in this war, while working at the same time. So he was exhausted when this happened.
These players involved, Rahein and Meathpopsticle, were people he used to play with. Now they stab his back while Digg leadership cease to support Clause in a clear case.
Yes, we would have supported him, like we will on every case where Orc isle ends up in wrong hands.
I will create a tool shortly, to list isles, on a certain date with a certain alliance, and where they are now, to help tracking down our loot.

Well Clause and Sol suiciding against Digg doesn't make this an easy subject to negotiate, but life must go on. Someone brave enough, pick up the pieces and start negotiating.

I concur, there are many giants among Morkin and I am not one of them, many exalts to those who put in such great contributions.
But it's totally out of character for Claus to do this, I don't understand why he did it, unless he was hacked or something.
Surely disussion would have resulted in a better outcome for all?

Iny made my eyes wet a bit there Well skulks, you weren't on the irc channell... For days Clause was up all night, waking every half an hour to check coloboats and dodge suicides, and from the work doing the same. I bet he was just so exhausted that friends acting like that pushed him over the edge.

The personal strain is understandable and I sympothise. But, in these cases, we must always think for the good of the alliance - as we've always tried. And I made you cry, but I was trying to reach a point too with my comment. And that is that you too spend hours on end to keep this alliance "alive". I too true my best, and so do many others. People should not take for granted all the work and effort that some put into this. Its time for youngsters to stepup and do some heavy work as well...

I know you had a point, but you just caught me at the right time with your commendation. I had a weak moment there, just been gathering up what was happened last night so i was little of-balance and upset. Then someone comes behind the tree saying something so nice

Just wanted to point out that I will not be deleting my account and that I intend on playing until xxl dies on my account because I won't be as active. I need to set my priorities straight. Anyway, I don't think you'll guys will let me back in. In fact, I don't expect you to because I won't be as active and because some feel that this has been very rash on my part. Which! I understand...no hard feelings. I'll just be around...like a shadow, striking a foe everynow and then.

Clause played extremely intensive, staying up all nights in this war, while working at the same time. So he was exhausted when this happened. This phenomena is exactly what I have been complaining about in regard to this game. You are who you are. If you are someone likely to give your all to something, wether it be a silly game or not, if it starts getting too much all of a sudden - even when on average, when looked at over the span of a year it should be really low key- then it is not at all strange that sooner or later it just gets too much. What good is a game that is non intrusive for months, but manages to seriously Chiavata! up your private life, your physical or mental health (possibly) in a few days time when finally something exciting happens ? In that respect I find this a dangerous game for overly intense or perfectionist people, I really do. If you want to do it right, you need to do what Ryan did (and my style of building/managing my isles comes pretty close to that as well), because what is the point in playing this game by proxy ? That's why I say this type of games need to be finite and not open ended, for players like me and perhaps others. I am assessing the state of my account (I am beaten, not defeated, yet) and think I can still do some damage to selected targets, but it needs to be this year, perhaps not yet next week(s), but soon.
