I think all the recent politiking has got to their small minds.
They are talking of letting bygones be bygones and reevaluating all their external relations.

Apparently not,
the admin of SANCT has informed me that they've been told to join Pantheon.

Makes you wonder which way the server may have gone had the Orcs destroyed the Thralls.

If there is a fight (it appears inevitable - Pantheon didn't super-merge simply out of brotherly love; many of them have fought one another in the past), here's what I'd like to see before Morkin involvement on DIGG's behalf:
1. DIGG actually make an effort. For the E|S campaign, I came over here as a liaison, and pled the case for war. I made extra efforts to keep Morkin advised of the situation on the ground, and constitently updated developments.
If DIGG wants us to fight on their behalf, sending a diplomatic liaison would be the least they could do.
2. Present a solid post-war plan, that we can hold them to. If they are going to push for extermination, as they did with E|S, it would be more cataclysmic for the server than having Pantheon emerge victorious. If significant masses of Pantheon are driven from the server, there will be a short list of potential rivals for DIGG, if any, and no doubt we would find ourselves at the top of it. I will not fight for DIGG, simply to be fighting against them weeks/months later.
DIGG will not be eliminated from the server in a defeat - they would merely be reduced and humbled. Pantheon would not hold together in a victory - they would devolve into their original elements rapidly once they do not have the binding goal of eliminating DIGG hegemony.
3. Integrated warfighting. Morkin cannot be left to deal with sizable Pantheon presence in o1-2-3-11-12 without serious, sustained efforts by DIGG to support us. We cannot be their cannon fodder in the old waters. We cannot allow what happened to us in o3 (Sol, for example) to take place across the board in the older oceans, while DIGG preys on soft targets in the middle and outer oceans. Costs and spoils must be thoroughly shared.
Only when these three criteria are met could I feel confident and righteous in embarking upon such a campaign.
Of course, as always, if the Alliance feels otherwise, I will toe the party line and send my fleets accordingly...

Agreed.
Morkin has to be a bit more demanding.

Does this bother anyone else?
Taken from the Pantheon front page --
They're claiming to be the same alliance that was id=16. Was that TRS or something like that? They've had so many changes since then, how can they claim to be the 3rd oldest alliance? I'd say more like the 3rd newest!

DIGG has nothing to fear, Pantheon is less of a threat to DIGG now than E|S was when the first major war occurred.

If Pantheon is built around TRS, later known as VW (or thereabouts) and inbetween them known as Thralls, there is an earlier stage than TRS (The Rising Storm). The alliance was at the very beginning called BdM, Boix der Merville, and was founded by a former MMU player called Croix_Noire. At that time we had a pact with BdM based on our friendship with Croix_Noire, but it was cancelled back when he left the game.
