I kinda agree putting more distance between ourselves and digg too. At least officially. ATM us and them together, we are just too strong. We are spoiling the server. Yes, but if we fake a 'cold war' we just lure the troublemakers into making trouble, and then we have to smack them...

Yes, but if we fake a 'cold war' we just lure the troublemakers into making trouble, and then we have to smack them... You make that sound like a bad thing? Yeah, well. It's kinda cheating, isn't it? Telling the bullies that the Justice League has broken up and they can run amok as they please and get all uppity, but the moment we decide we are bored then we can just hammer them without warning. It's bad paranting. Either we set up the rules and expect them to be upheld all the time, or we let them run free. Otherwise these kids will get confused and never understand how things work.

I think we should set up a formal government. That'll p*ss off people, us declaring ourselves rulers and telling them what to do and what not.
There's a power vacuum, and the rule of the strongest applies. For example in H|F attacking Hawk for no apparent reason, only because they're smaller and have a few nice isles. The only thing smaller alliances can do is to post a complaint on the forum and apply to the morality of other people.
Now if we had a government we could tell H|F to stop or be crushed... Of course we would need the appropriate power. And then we rename the game to Inselfrieden (island peace).
We could sell protection... Smaller alliances send us gold, stoners, and cats, and in turn we protect them from bullies. We would set up regional strongholds (where stoners are deposited for helping out vassals under attack), possibly starting in some oceans, extending our rule across the seas.

Haha that's pure brilliance if we announced that then no doubt we would spark a huge war.

"The new revolutionary government of the Morkin Republic has now taken charge of the server. All colonisation attempts have to be vetted by our database minister. Attacks on other isles are forbidden. Any spy reports gathered have to be submitted to our Ministry of Intelligence. Alliances with more than 30 members are forbidden.
The finance secretary will soon issue the tax rates. Taxes will be proportional to number of islands and point score. There will be a general income tax of 10% gold and lumber, to be taken off the daily production of each island. Every player will soon be issued with the address of his or her nearest tax collection island.
Failure to comply with the new rules and regulation will mean that your islands will be redistributed.
Thank you for your attention.
The Revolutionary Council of the Morkin Republic"

Did we agree in some secret meeting with DIGG that we would challenge then for the No. 1 Enemy spot ;D
if so, you need to add a P.S. Certain isles have been designated as importnat to teh security of the new republic, these isles will be procured in the name of the repulic at a fee of 20000K of each resource per isle. Failure to comply with this notice will result in imediate procure of your isles by force.

EDIT: You need to use square bracket. And it's Vog ons (Arminius) EDIT: Thanks, I will have to mail this post to myself so I will have it handy for my later failures.
