Let's start a poll to see how everyone feels, personally I would like a ceasefire with Phoenix so we can finish off E|S and H|F if they want a fight too.
But no rush, let's take a few days to negotiate and grab a few more islands!

You still have time Pose, to get islands in o23.....we are still just discussing, and the longer this takes, the more time you have to get them But seriously, this also depends on DIGG (to an extent that is). The proposal should fit the whole coalitions' ideals, and not just ours. Still we are masters of our own fates, and if DIGG should push this issue too far - if they start to seem too unreasonable in their demands for peace, then I for one will not follow their needs, as I think it clashes with our ideology. (Coreleth branch might protest to my view....)

I guess I'd better hurry up and take back my islands in that case while we are still at war My Units and ships aren't building fast enough though Think I might need some help clearing the islands... I have the ships(well a few) and several willing men, if you can supply the catas were 'cooking on gas'!

I think Digg wouldn't be happy to stop right now, but perhaps soon. Perhaps we should call it to a halt after our current targets have been hit? Then we can show that we're honouring the request for a cease-fire during negotiations. We should keep track of Dyers' player id to make sure he doesn't go into hiding, though!

And just a side note...more a small detail, that I just remembered and came about what Harlequin said above.
Phoenix have not requested a cease fire (at least thats not what King Leonidas wrote). They want to determine how peace will come about. Those are two diferente things. The first proposal would oblige us to halt all attacks for a period of time while the two parties rest, discuss possible peace solutions, and gather strength in the meantime.

Ah, yes, it's Digg's war. So how come Phoenix are attacking them...? And non-aggressive doesn't mean pacifist. Spoofini obviously hasn't got a way with words or their meanings.

OK, let's dissect this now I have some time:
I don't like this style at all, "right" isn't a very good way to start a letter begging for your survival, he needs to remember that he's asking us for a favour. And no, we didn't know dyers has resigned either, as if we would?
Sorry? You're making "demands"? Oh no, I don't think so.
Explain that better, are you booting him or is he leaving? Or is this we "might" let him out?
As if we need your permission you utterly impotent little twerp.
Sorry? What do you mean by "smaller" DIGG members and what compensation exactly?
Thanks again for permission we don't need to carry on what we are already doing. I bet they really miss your friendship and loyalty.
I can't reciprocate such emotion I'm afraid, if this is what Phoenix consider a good admin then he seriously needs to work on his diplomacy, the entire tone of that was way off what was needed, am I the only one who thought so?
No ceasefire, the war will continue until you can come up with something much better, shall I draft a response or am I on my own here?
As a sidenote, anyone new to Morkin must realise this: If we believe we are in the right in a war, we will never back down, even if the situation appears hopeless. We would rather carry on fighting until we had no islands left, no fleets and the last stoner had been wiped out. In fact even then some of us would carry on getting a grim satisfaction of being able to annoy our conquerors by sending the odd spy ship out to them etc.
Rant over.

Don't forget, English might not be his native language, in which case it might sound a bit odd.
What exactly is it that we want? I'd be happy to draw up a reply, but I'd want to make sure I know what to tell them. Off the top of my head I'd say (in no particular order)
- Dyers will have to give up x isles of our choice including fleets - demands by Digg for compensation will have to be met - delivery of enough resources for one colo-ship to each member of Morkin - delivery of x catapults to the alliance
Presumably we would want
- other people on the list to give up isles (whom?) - more resources? - what else?

Sounds good, of course they wont give in to those demands which will lengthen the war. Check with DIGG what they want.

I'm sure Digg wants to carry on a bit longer. Afterall, did the first and second W.W. not last for 4 resp. 5~6 years ?
I like a war of artrition (or is it atrition ?) especially since our opponents seem so ill equiped for that.

I don't, but that's not where the image came from It was a google image search, and I got a .PNG file. High enough quality that I could scale it down to a reasonable size and still have it readable.

I thought it was funny to see the same image on one day, when I'd never come across it before. But then, I come across so many things only once, so it probably isn't all that remarkable.
