I guess it is about time to say something about me... I am Danish, despite living within spitting distance of the Pacific. I live and work in the northern end of Silicon Valley, about 50 miles south of San Francisco. It is an area that provides plenty of opportunities for working hard and playing harder. Within easy access are Tahoe, with good skiing in the winter, the Pacific, with good surfing, San Francisco bay, with good sailing and wind surfing, Napa/Sonoma with good wineries, Yosemite with good backpacking and rock climbing, Monterey with amazing diving. Plus a bunch of stuff that I am forgetting... If you look in my garage, you will find a lot of gear My current "thing" is parachuting, jumping out of a perfectly good plane at altitude with only a piece of canvas for assistance. It is an amazing ride, but sometimes gravity scores a point, like last Sunday where I misjudged a landing. So I am currently wearing a knee brace and will be limping for a couple of weeks Professionally, I guess I am a nerd. I have a pretty varied background in technology, mostly networking, and I am currently working as a software engineer at one of the larger companies in the industry. I am really a startup guy though and I am likely to move on when my green card arrives later this year. That will probably be the time where I quit IK as well.

Damn you! I would love to live near Tahoe! I love skiing so much. This February me and my dad went to St Anton and had an awesome time.

I am extremely good at falling off my board. Does that count? Honestly, I never really got into (wind)surfing. The water around here is kind of cold so I never made it to being good enough to stay on the board before I decided that parachuting was more entertaining. I think it has been almost a year and a half since I went out last time. I rock at kayaking though. Does that count?

Fint, fint. Det jo ikk' fordi man kan se på emailen eller noget hvad han rigti' hedder. Nå men velkommen til udenlandsdanskeren. Back to English, considering the quality of the few Danish players around, I think the rest of IK should consider themselves lucky that Danes are so few here that we don't group together to wipe to oceans of the rest of you ;D

Nah, Oliver, there are plenty of Germans around, and I'm not especially afraid of them. But consider some of the Danes here: Patton, n00bs, RapSO or me. Then imagine something like 30 or 50 of us together in one alliance.

Meget diplomatisk og meget klogt You wouldn't happen to be in the Portland, Oregon area in the end of July, by any chance? I am (again) attending the OSCON this year... EDIT: Oh, and Inyati, I am not even going to ask what you meant by your post
