In light of all the recent troubles and goings on I am interested in becoming a diplomat for FoM.
I'm spending enough time on IK and these forums to be able to coordinate and communicate effectively. Although my relative newness to the game and alliance is a negative point, I would still like the opportunity. Another negative aspect is that I don't have many (if any) ties to players outside of the triumvirate, I was briefly in Valheru and have talked with the admins but apart from that my ties are lacking.
I'm not sure on the official way of doing this so I thought I'd just approach it here.

My first computer was a ZX81. Some 23 years ago. Only 1000 rams, though I had an extension to 32K. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zx81Boy do I feel old. And nostalgic. It only had upper case letters. Ah, mine too !!! Albeit I only had the official 16 Kb rampack. Those 16Kb rampacks never quite sat firmly at the back resulting in unexpected and untimely resets. I played chess on it. Psion Chess. Quite good actually, it let me win... In the end I screwed it up because I had to open it ofcourse and the flimsy flatcables from keyboard to mainboard got broken/too short. My next victim became the ZX Spectrum 16 Kb for which I bought a bag of chippies to upgrade to 48 Kb, then a Spectrum+ keyboard to put around it replacing the rubber keyboard and featuring a much needed reset switch and a Kempston joystick interface and a speech module. It did a wonderful job at imitating the Daleks: "EXTERMINATE!" After that I went on to the Atari ST 1040 FM, wonderful machine, but I was buggered about the monochrome monitor as the only colour television in the house with a scart was in the livingroom and i didn't get to use it that much, obviously. Dungeon master, Elvira - Mistress of Darkness, The Bard's Tale, Legend of Faerghail. And then a PC. The 386 DX of a friend at first, then my very own 486 SX. My first game: Betrayal at Krondor. Completely finished. Twice. Sorry Digital, had to. As for your ambitions to become a diplomat, why don't you try ? I've been a diplomat and you can still be "from hell" ;D However, a way with words is recommended. then again our Perun was good without words and ways. But then he was the most reluctant diplomat we've ever had.

Slightly off topic but my first computer experience was a 486 thing, used to play Dizzy (random egg with legs ) and 2 other awesome games, one called Mines of Titan and another one that involved racing with weapons (eproxy might now) 2KCastle promoted me to diplomacy so hopefully I should be able to help the alliance.

I'm not going to be as active in the next coming weeks, I've got a lot of work to do at uni and its starting to effect things I do on this game (I'm making stupid mistakes). I'll see if I can get my brother to look after my account for a while.
Sorry for this.

Hey all, don't really have much chance to get on at the moment due to the fact that I'm at my parents house. I've not been on the forums for 48 hours and really don't have time to at the moment.
Eproxy has my password any help from my account can be requested through him until I'm fully back on Tuesday night. Sorry for this.
Also on another point I got a message from ads about ringthane coloing over his isle, can I pass this on to another diplomat please.
I should (fingers crossed) get some time tomorrow to peruse the forums and deal with my account, if anyone needs anything pm me ingame.
Sorry for the inconvenience war couldn't have come at a worse time really.

I'm looking after my brothers account since he's gone to St. Ives untill sunday. Slightly off topic but my first computer experience was a 486 thing, used to play Dizzy (random egg with legs ) and 2 other awesome games, one called Mines of Titan and another one that involved racing with weapons (eproxy might now) I remember them all relatively well except for the name of the racing game. I'd love to call it Death Racer but no searches under that name look vaguely similar. As for Mines of Titan it's our first experience with both Westwood (later renowned for C&C fame) and was actually a remake of a Commodor 64 game. I've got a copy of it somewhere
