I've lived on and near air force bases most of my childhood and was also into astronomy in my teens, the things I saw were neither aircraft nor planets, stars, meteors etc etc.
Or bugs.
;D
There is definitely more intelligent life than us in the universe, but the question is whether or not it's visited Earth.

True story:
About 7 or 8 years ago I was out one late autumn evening. Suddenly I saw a wedge of bright points, 10 or 12 in total, moving in the sky; moving in a straight line and in perfect formation. They made no sound, but passed overhead fairly close to me, and were gone very fast in a southerly direction. In total it didn't take them more than 4 or 5 seconds from I saw them appear in the north till they were gone. That really had me wondering a while, because I had big trouble figuring out what I had seen.
EDIT: Instead of telling what it was I had observed, can anybody figure it out for themsleves?

I can tell you as I read your post before you edited it! Anyway, my sightings are as follows: On the way to college with a close friend of mine, it would have been early Winter 1986, we noticed an object in the sky to the north. I was a perfectly clear, crisp morning with not a cloud in the sky and not a breath of wind. The object looked a bit like the fuselage of an airliner but without any features on it and no wings or tailfin etc. It was a bright white colour, so bright it almost appeared to be a light source but on closer inspection it wasn't. We both looked at the object that was low on the horizon for a good minute or two, it is hard to estimate height, size or distance as we don't know what it was, it was motionless at what I would guess was a few hundred feet from the ground about 5 miles away, so the object would be about the size of a small airliner. There was no noise that we could discern. We were late for college and so had to hurry on our way, turning away from the object we walked another few yards before looking back, the object had vanished from view. The second incident would have been Winter around 1998, I was driving home from work at about 5pm on a clear night, the sun had set recently so it wasn't quite fully dark. As I headed along the motorway I noticed what I at first thought was Venus, a bright star in the sky to the West. I then noticed there were in fact two "Venuses" and they were both moving slowly towards me. I took a detour from my normal route home (which involved leaving the motorway) so that I could investigate more closely, both were bright lights in the sky, apparantly moving in exact formation as if they could have been joined together. Again hard to estimate size, distance and speed etc, but I would guess they were around 1-2 thousand feet in altitude, both points of light about half a mile apart. I stuck my head out of the moving car window (god know what the other drivers on the motorway though) to try to listen but couldn't hear anything as even though I had slowed to around 30 mph the wind noise was still too great. There was a helicopter to the south, whether this was investigating the lights or not I can't say but it was clear that the object(s) above me were not aircraft as they had no navigation lights. I did consider that they could be microlights or something but they were going too slowly to be any kind of normal aircraft, only travelling at around 30mph as I later found out when I left the motorway to track them on another road running paralell to their course. Next thing I knew both lights accellerated to an incredible speed, they were over the horizon in a matter of 5 seconds or so, it was phenomenal to behold. Certainly not aircraft! They were still in perfect formation. These lights were witnessed by a lot of other people I read in the paper a few days later, but nobody mentioned them accellerating away. Anyone got any explanation?

Right on! Finally it occured to me, it was autumn, and I had seen a flock of migrating birds, flying at nighttime and being illuminated by the town lights below, making them stand out against the night sky. That would account for the speed they had travelled as well: They had simply not been that far above ground. Since then I have observed the same things a few times, mostly because I have been looking for it.

I was abducted as a child.
They took me out of my sleep, took me zipping around space, and then returned me unharmed. Of course, they washed my memory clean of the events, so I am only speculating...

What are the chances of someone in 13 colonising this
14 minutes ago Espionage of Rockingham (13:84:21) Espionage successful. Units of Sol Total Losses Small Warships 1 0 Units of rulerless Island Total Losses Large Warships 59 0 Small Merchant Ships 15 0 Colonization Ships 1 0 Stone Throwers 337 0 Spearfighters 556 0 Archers 331 0 Catapults 3 0 Buildings Main House Level 12 Gold Mine Level 20 Stone Quarry Level 20 Lumber Mill Level 20 Laboratory Level 20 Barracks Level 20 Harbour Level 20 Storehouse Level 20 Stone Wall Level 20 Watch-Tower Level 20 Technologies Spear Level 10 Shield Level 10 Bow Level 10 Catapult Level 10 Sail Level 10 Resources Gold 38337 Stone 38337 Lumber 38337
See, I was going to send attacks, but my closes colo lands in 24 hours...and I would need catapults to take that main down and I can arrange 2 attacks to land, one clearing and one colonizing...but if someone is already on their way to colonize that and if they do and since Im using catapults to destroy the main...I really don't feel like dealing with another colo dispute seeing as I've lost 3 ships already to this kinda bullshit...
So what do you guys advice? Should I go for it?

Recent events surrounding the words rhino, buying, hacking, orc, I-have-cancer-let-me-do-whatever-i-want attitude, and william blake have forced me to temporarily leave all IK forums for the time being.
It's for my own sake seeing as my lack of patience has left me thinking about declaring a jihad and or possibly pressing the delete button. I will also mention that poems from blake are crap and only add to my anger here...
So, for the sake of my mental sanity and my IK career, I will take a short time out seeing as nothing will get done either way. If it does...someone send me an in game message.
