He told me he didn't want to be considered for any positions within Luxor when he joined, but he may have changed his mind by now - Claus?

Well, with all these war exercises, I think he has finaly given the admiral role of IK a real purpose for its existance.

Somebody is going to have to give me a brief rundown of the duty expectation of an Admiral before I could commit to such a thing.
I'm definitely not looking for any obligations. Spent far too many hours doing "work" with this game already. At this stage, I just enjoy the social aspect, managing my account (i.e., keeping it in fighting shape to massacre deserving targets), and pitching in with what I can when I can.

Clausewitz Don't take any new duties... not that you wouldn't be great ding them but i don't want you too to be exhausted. Too much of that seen around already.

Its just a formality. You dont have to do anything more, just keep doing what you've been doing so far, which in my view seems worthy of being called admiral duties.
Anyway, just a suggestion on my part. Sorry for overpowering Luxor hierarchy.

So it's akin to being "Knighted" by the Queen No duties, no obligations, just a title... Doesn't really matter either way. I'll keep doing what I've been doing until somebody tells me I'm stepping on toes and need to back it off Flattering for you to suggest it, but certainly not something that I'll get fussed over either way.

Well yes your current level of activity clearly suffices being admiral, but at least i feel that being one does bear some responsibility, specially during or prior wartime.

Maybe its best to give him a low profile...so if we go to war, he isn't targeted for being admiral.
Unless he wants to be targeted...

Any title, whether honourary or not, always ends up adding responsibility. We can give you the title of Admiral, and unless you stop playing the game, and keep one isle as a token, you will end up with the responsibilities of Admiral. Pre-planning and planning wars. The difference between now and then is that now, you choose if you want to do that. Then, you will be expected (consciously or unconsciously) to do it. So if I were you, I'd stay a regular member, and volunteer!

I'll leave it up to you Claus, if you want the title just let me know and it's yours, you are already doing more than enough to earn it!

Sure, why not.
I'll probably end up doing the duties in wartime anyways, and if it makes me a priority target - good. I'm tightly consolidated and with considerable stonethrowers (91k) - no island is more than 50 minutes away from a sizeable (>3k) stoner drop. I would love the rush of seeing 95% of my islands lit up red again. God help the fools who make me a priority target - it will buy the rest of you time to unleash Hell, while I make them earn every inch they gain in thousands of warships sent to the bottom.
If you guys want the help, I'm game to pitch in under an official title.
