Assuming that if you capture a planet, you get any fleets based there (big assumption), how about this:
Send a shed load of Transports (that's Bait speak for a lot) stuffed full of ground units. The exact number would depend on how powerful the defending fleet is in anti Tr ships.
Then, after the first tick, you'd lose some Trs, but the rest would dump their Cyborgs etc on the planet. Of course you'd need a lot of Cys to overcome the defenders ground forces and PDS, but assuming that worked you've then got a shiny new planet with a fleet ready built, you wont have done any damage to it as all you had was TRs in the fleet.

Sounds good, can someone probe it and post up the fleet info and I will build however many transports I think I need, I've got quite a few ground troops already.

A thought.... the invasion fleet of TR's could be intercepted and probably totaly anihilated. 2 solutions: -Invasion fleet planet base is as close as possible to the target -Invasion takes place at awkward hours

Yes, I've thought of that! I was going to station the fleet as close to the target as poss and launch so it would arrive at 6am, I'm awake then but I'm gambling Imp wont be!

I've got 50 Class 1 TRs and around 5k Cyborgs now (plus the ones from Perun and Blackness/Inyati when they arrive) as well as nearly 2k Tanks.
Once the target is agreed (Freeze or Old Rusty) I can work out how many more TRs and Cyborgs I will need, I've a lot of Kalamite I can use to buy them but donations welcome!

my congratulations Skulkrin Bait. This plan seem to work well. I recomend a star of merit to the commander Just for the record...any flaws in Plan Z? How can it be bettered and what should one do to prepare an attack using this methed?

Thanks, it can be bettered quite a bit!
First of all I recommend building a few class 2 transports every day so when required you'll have a nice force of them - by using my calculator or Peruns spreadsheet, you will know exactly how many TRs are needed for the plan to succeed.
Also probe the planet you plan invading so you know how many cyborgs and PDs it has - if it has PDs then you will probably need to send some anti-PDs ships to take them out as Cyborgs etc are pretty weedy against them. Make sure any anti-PDs ships are set to FO 1 with their targetting set to PDS first before al else.
Finally I recommend also building as many spirit class ships as you can spare to send as well, if you can freeze the enemy ships you can reduce losses to your transports while freezing the enemy means you still steal their ships rather than destroying them.
You would only need to send the spirits in against really big fleets I should think though, the panet I stole for Starshatter had close to 2k ships at it but that only gave them around 13k anti TR ability - which is only enough to destroy about 11 class 2 TRs, which isn't much!
Finally, I think we all need to consider building more anti TR ships than before as others will soon cotton onto this tactic!
I tihnk Hawk class Frigates are best for anti TR attacks, but you need 20 to take on only 1 class 2 transport - so PDS are going to be important too, so are ships to take out ant-PDS ships!
Getting complex aint it?

If you are going to use this method I recommend only sending the fleet late at night to reduce the chance of interception as it will be very vulnerable!
