I've never had any news to say my matter catchers caught anything. Perhaps we could do a test, I'll target one of our members or vice versa and see what happens?

Errr... after all that, I'm not sure that matter theft is recorded in a planet's news I remember that when Old Rusty pinched from me I got info about his planet in my news. I've built a fair few Signal Boosters on Carormand (my victim planet) but no luck as yet. Roger, which resources do you need most to replenish those Info Probes?

I've already ordered another 50, thanks. Info probes are expensive but I find their biggest problem is in the time it takes to make them: 10 hours is a loong time.

You need to build interference generators to block Matter catchers. Signal boosters have no effect on the success or failure of Matter Catchers pointing at you. Signal boosters if you are trying improve your chances of Matter catching and probing.

From OR Fourm- Catcher can now target 5 planets
- Transporter needs 5 minutes to charge up before it can be used again
- With 1 catcher target, base catch chance is 80%. Each successive target reduces this by 15%
- chanceAdjustment is calculated (IGens = Number of planet sending matter, Boosters = Number of planet with catcher) and applied to the base catch chance
- Same chance adjustment is applied to a base theft percentage to determine how much that catcher steals
- There is a 30% chance that the stream will break down during transport. If the stream breaks down upto 50% of the transfer could be lost
- If theft occurs, you could lose between 20-70% of the transfer (after loses through stream breakdown have been taken into account)
- Maximum of 500000 of each resource and 50000 of each weapon can be transfer in a single operation ('ALL' checkboxes have been replaced with 'Max' checkboxes)
- To get coordinates of stealers, you must have a running IAgency on the planet sending the transfer
- You are not guaranteed to get the coordinates of thiefs... if the chance adjustement is in their favour (ie. > 1 - Meaning their Boosters overpower your IGens) then you won't get their coordinates. Only if it is tipped in your favour (ie. < 1 - Meaning your IGens overpower their Boosters) will you get their coordinates if you have a running IAgency
- Transport now takes into account resource and weapon caps on target planet and any planets that steal from it
As a side note, we should point out that IGens and Boosters continue to operate... even when a planet is abandoned, meaning you may not be able to scan an abandoned planet with a geo probe to ascertain its resource distribution.
