From Dusk till Dawn...
Darkaracnid has explicitly told me not to worry, but under these new developments, I wouldn't be so sure.

Do we say to DarkAracnid that this iis a direct provocation and/or that we do not tolerate any DL presence in our waters ? And certainly not THAT close by ?
We could blow her out of that seas with continues attacks. If only I had more than one catapult... Darkaracnid doesn't want to go up against us, he wants friends in ocean 15 remember, so when we force the issue we might make it impossible for her to have a colony there.
An idea ?

Leave her colony alone and let it grow. It´ll become our farm, along with all the others. The closer they are the less time our war dogs need to plunder and destroy!

I'm going to put my next colony nearer this area so I can use it as a forward base when the time comes. I'm going to aim somwhere close but not so close it will be easily spotted. Do we have any ideas how soon war will erupt as it will take me at least 3 weeks to get things ready. This reminds me of Sauron, didn't he build Minas Morgul as a mockery to Minas Tirith, just across Anduin? Dawn now has it's own Minas Morgul in the form of Dusk. I'm waiting for "her" to colonise an isle near Gard and call in Atak or something She'll struggle more with Torkren, Ishmalay and Mitharg tho!

We all know it is inevitable we are going to crush her at some stage - just need her to attack one of us...
I scouted quite a large part of Ocean 1 and found that someone had farmed every small island in her area around the time that she is normally online (she is the most likely candidate). They may all be inactives or they could be too scared to approach her for their stuff back.
Initially I was thinking to raid them early so they were empty when she was online. Then I thought it could be better to approach them, find out who is raiding them and if it is DarkLady encourage them to approach her for their stuff back. If we want to force an incident we could straight out offer protection and wait for her inevitable raid.
Is this a workable plan, or do we say say to hell with her and wipe her out now?
Marios, get yourself a spare colonisation ship ready. ;D

True, unfortunately we weren't in a position then to retaliate and we have left it go for a long time... We did get a heads up on it from DA: I think we should raise this as an issue with her, and state plainly that we view this as an act of provocation. If she says Chiavata! you we take it and level all her islands.

I'm getting tired of island life... My main island will have 20 of everything in 19hrs, I've got a colony, what else is there? And term starts, so I won't have as much time as I did over the summer.
Shall we set up a breakaway alliance, as our military wing? Then everybody who wants to fight DL can move to that alliance, and the doves can stay in Morkin and continue to grow peacefully...
What are the global plans/ambitions for Morkin? Surely we cannot compete with 12yr olds who have no life outside IK and spend all their time on it. How much longer do we want to play it as a group?

You can upgrade your statue!
Seriously though, as I have written before, my main incentive for playing IK is to see Morkin (as it was created and expanded) grow.
If many people decide to leave the game, I would definitely consider focusing Morkin in attacking our one or two major enemies and then quit the game. I am not in favour of creating another "attacking" alliance, as our final attacks will need to leave the Morkin mark in IK history as justified ones.
So, I think that the ones who would like to continue peacefully could either create another alliance and disassociate themselves from Morkin, or go to other stronger alliances who would have them.
I would definitely not want to see Morkin deteriorate like Sohei did...
So, it's more Narn than Centauri...

I think there will be two camps, those who want to go out in a big fight and those who want to continue.
Therefore it is only fair that the attackers form a breakaway alliance, I think that this should be called something like "Doomdark" so other alliances will think we've had a big argument! Well, one enemy at least will think that from the name, we can sow some rumours to let others think that is the case too.
Then when we do attack, Morkin will not be tarnished with the same brush we are and the doves should be left alone to prosper in relative peace.
Alternatively we could disband Morkin and setup two new alliances, one for the doves and one for the hawks.

In principle I am with the ones wanting to go out with a big bang. Quite frankly my diplomatic dealings recently have often left me with a feeling of "this is nuts, they are all either "not my kind of people' or plain stupid, way too young, totally on chemicals, without a life of any memorable sorts (there are times there is joy in arrogance I must say) or lost in translation <lol> " and like some of you said, there is no end to all this. Except setting a goal that is achievable somehow in the mid range term and then go and do something else. There is indeep little depth in this game. But the aggrevation and indignation this game can and does cause us from time to time (admidt it, aren't we all on prescribed sedatives and bloodpressure regulation since we started playing this game ?" ;~)
However, Rogerio and possibly others are right that it is not funny to leave the smaller players no choice but to join in or be left at their own resources. That os indeed not nice. But on the other hand it is also true that for example 20 december gives us roughly 90 days to build troops and forces and cats. That is not nearly enough to do anything about Avinalaff, don't get your hopes up there, we'll just run into a brick wall as a figure of speech, but the likes of DarkLady, Hawk individuals and Mantaray are quite doable. If we attck Avinalaff we can't do anything else afterwards, so if we do something it should be the last we do, after we did the smaller enemies. And if we want to do more than that, well, than we will have to wait longer than the end of this year... I too want to get rid of this IK addiction, I want to go back to Midnight /MU which I have neglected mainly becase of this game and my life is going to change anyway, so really, how much time will I have anyway ?
I don't think splitting up Morkin will solve this problem, unless some of us see that differently. I'll copy this in the "On and on and on" thread as well, leave this one for DL reports.
