2-Get Oliver back on our side. I think he will agree (if we all do) that our position on DL should be decided in a poll (democraticly). This is what I am trying to do. I could use some help. ...and I am giving it! By separating our personal views on certain issues from the alliance ones. Let's apply demo.cracy! Let's vote...

OK this is the third time that I am away for more than 24hrs and Merda! happens.
I was extremely busy yesterday, and today is a national holiday, so I won't have much time this weekend. I spent an hour reading throuh the latest developments and for whatever is worth I will just try to post my thoughts as they come to mind in no particular order.
1) I hate to see Oliver go as a result of all that has happenned. It doesn't matter if I think his action was justified or not, to me it only matters because a)it shows that he did not enjoy playing the game as a Morkin anymore and b) because Morkin is losing an active competent member.
2) I hate to see Xuratoth and Maroc (?) go too. Same reasons.
3) I hate to see that we are arguing rather than celebrating. I have to agree with Igor that this is what is historically expected (my country is a live example of this in its modern history), but I always hoped we could rise above the occasion.
4) I agree that Eclipse should be ours rather than Hawk
5) I agree (and have explicitly expressed it) that we should be building defenses. Everyone is a potential threat (and that excludes Oliver).
6) My vote on peace with Hawk was cast before Evilwww colonised eclipse. Now that I have seen his stance, I still vote for a Peace Treaty with what is left of Hawk. He agreed to let Eclipse go, he has posted a respectful message at his alliance page, and everyone at Hawk removed insulting messages. (This does not invalidate point 5 above).
7) I agreed to stop attacks on Sanctuary because the information that I had was that this island would be colonised by a neutral member. Since noone from Morkin wanted it, there was really no point in battering it down. PF's main isle was (and is) as far as I am concerned to be demolished, if it hasn't yet been.
8) I think that our prime objectives have been met, provided that PF's Sanctuary is colonised by Thaddeus. If PF keeps having it I am still for an attack.
9) I am happy to let anyone else be an admin. I have written it before that I don't see an admin position as a commander position, but as an organiser position. Any comments on my administering Morkin are most welcome.
10) I want Oliver back. Many times I feel distanced by individual's actions despite public consensus, but it's a game and I don't really think spontaneous reactions should spoil it by causing our alliance to have internal conflicts. In other words I don't take anythink personally. I might think Ringy's response was rude, but I don't really care. I might get angry or sad in game terms if people don't do what a majority decides, but I don't care. Sorry if this sounds blunt, but that's the way it is. I might disagree with Igor with things he says or believes (and I agree with others of course) but if I see him in a Croatian, Greek or Portugese bar I will drink a lot of beers with him cheerfully. We are a bunch of above average intelligence online buddies who share a couple of interests, so in-game we might argue, outside we know that we have at least a couple of things to talk and laugh about.
11) I am getting increasingly stressed with multi account handling. I like to think of myself as a fair and objective guy.
12) I want all Morkins where they belong: Morkin. I 've said it before: For me the whole fun is seing Morkin grow.
Thanks for reading this.

This is draft of a rescuing plan to be implemented in 3 steps. 1-Ignore DL! Believing or not what she says is irrelevant. As far as the game is concerned she is our enemy and this is just a game. 2-Get Oliver back on our side. I think he will agree (if we all do) that our position on DL should be decided in a poll (democraticly). 3-Get another target soon as I really enjoyed the adrenalin of the past few days ;D! I totally agree with these 3 things. I think the problem is with the game itself. It has no objective. It just goes on and on. We started by trying to get the most points but that just became boring and it was humiliating to realise that teenage boys could wipe us out anytime they felt like. So then it was the moral and intellectual high ground. The stronger ones would attack those nasty multis but we ran out of multis and some people got left out. Eventually it became, well let's get our enemies, chief among them DL. But DL and her mad friends/other personalities are still messing with our heads and the arguments started about who was really a victim and some people got worried about their self image. So I say, play this as a game, not as a moral crusade. Lets just ignore all Americans. Get Oliver back and find a target we can all agree on, eg Avinalaff and GET OUT.

I'm still around, but on vacation from any responsibilites, and refusing to have an opinion about anything. You others can agree on anything you like, and I will follow the policy laid out.
But I do hope that we can work things out peacefully. Not everybody can get all their wishes, that will mena that all will have to make compromises. For the best possible decisions to be made, as many as possible members have to respond and express an opinion.

With a delay of almost a day: I totally agree with these 3 things. A very succinct analysis Jenny and I agree completely. I must also add that indeed power corrupts, and holding the keys of Colm's account and the possibilities it offers (even set apart from the warped enjoyment in impersonating Colm whenever he gets mail) has been intoxicating although I cannot say I feel like I abused the power it can have as I have been recordedly very reluctant and hesitant about using Colm's ships for any attack. The reason I at first were against it but then decided to use 3 fleets (2 big, 1 small) to hit Dark, Haven and Sanctuary anyway during the big showdown was based on these 4 considerations: 1) It had been implicitly asked to minimize losses to our own fleets. Mads would rather not have lost too many ships on breaking the first defenses even when Frei did not consider the use, that's true. knew the losses would be greater than most of you would imagine and therefore I deemed the offensive powers of Colm's fleet insufficient if they were to be used as well lateron. So I wasn't cheering the idea of using them as canonfodder for a long time without it being clear what we would be using them for after all this. 3) Eventually, when the moment of truth neared, some 2 days and counting and Mads didn't count on it (Colm's suicide fleet) anymore (as I had indicated I wasn't thrilled by the idea) I changed my mind and decided to send 2 equal fleets of 201 LW's and army complements of archers+spears to be used as canonfodder anyway. The attack on Dark yielded almost no losses whatsoever, but the losses incurred to the fleet attacking Haven were no less than dramatic ! 75% lost of ships and men. Try to get those results out of the battlecalculator. You have to learn how to interpret the outcome. If as Frei had wanted, I would not have changed my mind and used them anyway, Mads would have lost also 75 or more % of his first wave. That's no peanuts ! 4) I have not been in the army. I was sent away as there were already enough of my age to be drafted and my back/feet combination was deemed less than ideal for soldiering. I am however not a pacifist myself, I am perfectly okay and always have been with nukes being stationed on Dutch soil etcetera. You will not find me in a demonstration to abolish the armed forces, ever, but in spite of this experience lack in army comradeship and all noses pointing the same direction and such, I did feel Igor was right that there were certain things you simply didn't do in a war situation and keeping the fleetsupport from those attcking Dark + Haven suddenly didn't seem right to me anymore. Even if I feared the devastating outcome of that. Who knew back than who would lauch attcks on us as a result of all that and would it then matter wether we used Colm's ships to keep our own intact or not ? That made me decide at the very last moment that I had to sent them out anyway. Now, I find it oddly hard to resign the Colm account. I find I miss the different contacts Colm had and at the same time, from an analytical point of view, it clearly shows how it is very well possible for a not too dumb person with a little crativity and good memory and some background info to impersonate another human being. But okay, if no one comes up in the next 2 or 3 days, the Archibald_the_Grim account and the Colmfinito account will be deleted. I have some unfinished business to take care off, some promises to Colm that need to be fulfilled still, but the plug will be pulled out. However, as we have seen ourselves, multihunting is "tainted" as well. Colm had the following stance on it (while not being a multi himself), I paraphrase him: "is multihunting really so much more different from being a multi ? The latter is stupid as you have to log in and out all the time, but multihunting is just another cheap excuse of getting more resources and colonies" So while we close down our no longer usuable accounts, can we close down the Targs as well ? Yes, I think we should stop multihunting, in fact, I want us to stop multihunting as we can never be 100% it is a just cause. Do I sound like somebody now ? ;D

I agree with deleting these two accounts if that's strategically justified.
Just wait for awhile. We don't need to use them from now on, but I think it's better to give them to somebody we know who will support us if need be then just delete them.
