It could be useful of trade hubs could be highlighted somehow on the HTML map. That way it would be easier to visually plan where to send resources.
It would require Frei to update the map more often though, I suppose, which would be a pain.

I do have another suggestion to make our intertrade more efficient. Instead of each creating individual trade routes, we could create main stores; one for each ocean (when possible).
How´d this work? -Each ocean would have a "Store". -Trade would be done between "Ocean Stores" and not between Members. -Members would request resourses fom their "Ocean Store" in their ocean (or which was closest) -"Ocean Stores" would request goods from other "Ocean Stores" when supplies were low. -Members would also send resourse to the "Ocean Store" when needed and not directly to who requested them. -It would be the Store´s responsabilitie to convey the goods to the "Ocean Store" where the request was submitted. -Trade routes would be drawn between Stores.
Requirements: -An Admiral to coordinate the overall trade. -Trade parteners. In other words: one person per ocean would assume the responsability of being that Oceans´ Store. -Constant comunication between Trade Partners and Admiral.
Pros: -Stores are fixed! -Requests are channeled to specific members only -Reduction in trading time. Members only need to ship goods to closet store and not to the member that´s 30h away. -Trade routes are between stores and not between members.
Cons: -Peolple! We need members who would be interested in assuming the role of "Trade Partner". He would have to concentrate on building up Merchant fleet and Store. Need to be sensitive to members needs for resourses and ship them when possible. -If comunication between "Trade Partners" fails Stores could get depleted fast.
*Members who assume this role naturaly sacrifice some of their needs. We could work out a system where every shipment sent to the Store should also include a couple of stone throwers as payment and help to protect the owners island!
What do you think! Too much for this game?

good idea but there is only me and you in ocean 4 at moment, but should be good in other areas where there are more members in same ocean

You´ve got a point. Not all oceans will need "Central Stores". Careful planing could result in some islands depending on Stores situated in neighbouring oceans.

I think this will also be easier to implement visually in Frei's map too.
It takes a bit of planning, but I am sure that trading posts or routes will eventually speed up our collective progress.

I dont mind organizing the "Central Store" Trade system, but would like to hear more opinions first. The system will need membres who are willing to commit themselves to trade. If there´s anyone who doesn´t think its worth the effort, please say so!

According to Frei's message, Lobath is situated in a very good position for this. So I will tell him to upgrade storehouse. I will send him some STs too.
