I was thinking of having a wise lord created for each of the players, starting at the same location, but unable to recruit until, say day 5. The Wise in the towers would be selling spells. Maybe they also have become corrupted in this apocolyptic version of Midnight? Ok, just ideas anyway, please keep your thoughts flowing in

Ok, this is probably a VERY stupid idea, but what about a skulkrin army? Is that possible? or just plain dumb. Their biggest advantage is that you couldn't see them until they were right next to you. Because they are so small, fast and sneaky. Just a thought. And yes, I love the skulkrin. ;D

... but is it in keeping with LOM. Aren't skulkrin solitary animals? I can't remember the novella story too well.
Anyway, techincally, yes it is possible.

Yes, they are somewhat solitary, but I look at it this way. They've had enough of Doomdark, and all it took was one little Fawkrin to gather together a small army of the little buggers. Can you say stealth? ;D

Hm, I humbly oppose the Extra Wise idea. Too much domino.

I agree with Steal Lord as a permanent ability, and also a morale bonus for adjacent allies if their (Wise) courage is at "very" or above level. Since they can't spit flame ;D , lightning could also be another ability, but only if their energy is at "very" or above level. Spells just don't seem... hmm... we can create a whole new game as a team afterwards... Just make it optional when setting up the game. Bit like tech levels in Warcraft. One thing I would like to see with the Wise is a bending of the rules as far as tiredness. They should be able to ride all day every day without getting tired. Tiredness should only affect them if they go into battle, use elemental magic like a fireball, or end up on foot. As far as stealing Lords, player characters could have this in some situations, though I am still keen to reintroduce limitations on recruiting according to race, or even introduce the possibility that the recruitee doesn't like you.
