Nahh. Thanks anyway, but that's about the fastest I have ever drunk a bottle of wine ;D I have come to terms with the whole thing now, I remembered it's only a game. The fuc.king co.cksu.cker can try to capture Lindholm, I'm just doing what I can to defend it. If he captures it, good for him, and that's part of the game. If I defend it a couple of times, either he is going to give up or nuke all my isles. Both are acceptable to me at present BTW, I just opened up a new colony in sector 15:10

For wonderful strong language against the odds of the board censoring it, I exalt both Igor and Mads. Congrats. As to the situation: Sorry about your island. I have just read the thread devoted to the attack. I think you can quite handle the situation yourself, in fact a whole lot better than I could possibly do, even when it would concern by own island. However, I have written a message already which I have not send yet. I guess it's not necessary anymore, but just to show I care I will show you. Cost me an hour, see you'd better handle it yourself, in these situations i might make it even worse I fear. As to our treaties and protectors, you have seen that he is an Admin of [Corsairs] and they are 4th ranking, no visual bonds with otthers but expect linkage to [Wraith], possibly [Firefox] as well. Himself, the twit is ranked 9th, so basically there is NO-ONE who can help us out by force. Xalthorn is 30th, [Serenity] 15th but neutral, [Sohei] now 6th but look at the points and the gaps with the top 5, Last Eclipse is 10th. I have a protector ranked 72th and associations with 30th and +/- 120th something, but I too make myself no illusions. Perhaps our getting treaties and contacts in higher regions draws as a negative side-effect unwanted attention from these players, more than before. Perhaps a low profile might have been better, hanging out with the kids of ranks 100+ and biding our time. I heard from [Teutonic] that they haven't even got colonies until now. They are only now planning for it because they want to be able to defend them. They have scores like you. In a way it is depressing, I find that too. Anyway, my concept you'll find in the mail. Quote as you like if that is necessary or I'll send it for you if you think it has something useful in it.

And I'll just quote it here with my reply to get the discussion, and my gameplan, out in the open: Maybe I should add in the confidentiality of this forum, that while orange seems quite powerfull gamewise, he may not be the brightest of players, or I would not have the chance to rebuild my main house. Do you think that razing a colony rather than leaving it (relativively) intact to an enemy is a new thing. I'm betting a month's wages that orange hadn't expected that play

The salty language may be a side affect of me religiously watching every single episode of "Deadwood" when it's on. As I have access to three channels showing it, a Danish, a Swedish and a Norwegian channel every week, the words "coc.ks.ucker" and "fuc.king" which I don't normally use, have taken a new meaning for me For those who are unfamiliar with the "Deadwood" series... well, it's their loss

Overall thought: The idea of our alliance being attacked twice by major players is not conforting. Perun put up on another post that it was his conviction that the major powers will firstly wage war against each other rather than attack minor powers. I´m not too sure of this! History shows the oposite: major powers feed on minor ones before engaging each other. If so we´re heading for cloudy waters very fast. I propose we set up a "Round table" to discuss basic guidlines for the alliance. Maybe its time to build up armies and defences; build up other alliance members, which would inply players to halt colonisation.....
As to Lord Ashimar. I exalt you and award you the GRAND DARGON CROSS, for BRAVOURY and I-TAKE-NO-SH:IT-FROM-YOU, in the face of EXTREME DANGER!

From reading that discussion of which Orange was a part of, I think at least one or two in the alliance need to match them for strike power. I don't disagree with colonisation as it is a way of bringing in resources which you need to pay for the armies.

Read it again: What I'm saying is that there are two possible strategies of big players - one better to us than the other. And at the end I'm clearly stating that I'm grasping for a straw (I don't know if I'm using the fuc.king phrase OK, and am too lazy to go look) when talking about first strategy. This is just to clarify my thoughts. Don't like being misquoted. Vanity perhaps.

Okay, the stone wall does some good defensive work, but look below:
No more Wall. Now go get those goods, boys!
You have until midnight UK time, that means the rest of the day. Here is what is on the isle at present:
Gold:6724 Stone: 6612 Lumber: 7082
Later today I will return with the cats to wreck al I can. If anybody else, Bait or soiram, can help destroy something, it would be nice. Just don't target the main house, please.
