I need to check what effect theay would have in terms of space. Also, adding loads of gfx adds to download times, which are average on a 56K line. The buttons would be cached first time they are loaded, so speed wouldn't suffer much. So, is that a go or not?  |

TO Igor:
JY's shields are exelent, but i see new scenarios in the horizon, so new shields would be required at some point. Old styled and new both highly apriciated.
TO JY:
Making the GFX optional path to work, would make game GFX load from somewhere else. Or perhaps a new server? Those arent that expensive nowadays? Maybe we all can contribyte few Euros to that?

I didn't mean to say that your graphics (or any other part of the game) aren't good. Far from it!
I just wanted to contribute something to unique part of our little community. And you yourself said that graphics aren't your forte.
If, by doing this, I've offended you in any way, I'm truly sorry and am this way appologizing.
But I'll keep contributing just the same. ;D

Hi Igor, Sorry, hadn't picked up this thread for ages, so my silence is not supposed to be construed as me being upset!! I'm not in the least bit offended by you doing graphics for MU, far from it, it's great to see MU developing through the help of others, and your contributions so far are excellent and *much* appreciated  I will eventually get around to implementing/testing your buttons on the main view. Promise. There's just so much to do though. I have no idea how you manage to turn out so many high-quality tools so often! BTW, could you do a set of beige compass buttons (N,S, E, etc) as you did for the other actions, just so that they all behave in the same way? Cheers, and again thanks for your contribution (which will be reflected in the new Credits page when the next beta is released  ) |
